Local Rockfish had no flavor at all....."fresh" green beans were cold and tasted like a canned "fresh" version.... "Broiled" seafood platter actually was 75% "fried"... We wish we would have spent our first night back in St. Michael's somewhere else....for the price, there was little value except the location...on the water. Oh...and a "complimentary" drink was included ~ but I... More

The Crab Claw is a must visit restaurant when in St. Michaels. It has a wonderful array of menu selections to satisfy the tastes of most people. We always include steamed crabs when we dine there.

I had not been at the Crab Claw for a few years, but always had good food in the past. We both had the crab cake platter for lunch. Excellent. We had just been on Smith Island and had fabulous crab cakes there, and these were just as good. Waitress was excellent, and the view over the water fantastic.

I come to The Crab Claw with a large group once a year. We always receive excellent service and are impressed by the food. I enjoy watching others in the group consume mass quantities of really large crabs. We've sampled all of the appetizers and they are very good - especially the crab balls. This year I got so filled... More

Lunch at the Crab Claw was wonderful. Nice bottle of Kunde Sauvignon Blanc (just $24!). Wine prices are cheap. Maryland crab soup hot & delicious. Flame broiled oysters with crabmeat topping (you get 5 and 2 sides) were full and flavorful. I had the crab cakes rated #1 by Southern Living. No kidding, they were meaty and large. Very pleasant... Sorry to say that our visit to this restaurant was very disappointing. We were in St Michael's this weekend on our boat and were longing for steamed crabs. We made a reservation and there was a table by the window waiting for us. Our waitress was a sweet young girl who was attentive. So far, so good. We ordered a... More

We sat outside on the deck and had the best crabs we have had in a long time. We ordered mediums but they seemed rather large and we're very full. Despite the crowd, our waitress was very attentive. The fried clams were also very good and a nice contrast to the crabs. It was fun to eat there after the... More

My wife and I were there early October 2013 and we're visiting the Maritime Museum. I made it as far as the oyster history barn when I couldn't take it anymore...I needed seafood, lol! Don't get me wrong, the museum is awesome...eat first!!! I had the cream of crab soup and oysters from the raw bar for an app...they were really... More
