A feast for the eyes as well as the palette! Great service. Upscale dining. Steaks, wine, salads all terrific.
We were so glad to get a Saturday night reservation at this recommended restaurant. Even in early spring it is a good idea to call a few days in advance. The food was very tasty and just the right amount - short ribs with blue cheese grits and sauteed spinach and coriendar-crusted salmon with arugula salad and potatoes. The service... More
Yelp! and TripAdvisor reviews are invaluable when deciding to try a new restaurant. Especially if it is a nicer, expensive restaurant where you plan to pay higher prices for exceptional quality food and superior service. After reading all of the positive reviews of Theo's we couldn't wait to try it out. Unfortunately, we were simply disappointed all around. Service started... More
My wife abducted me for my 55th birthday and had made reservations at Theo's based on someone's recommendation. I could kiss that person! Menu was short but sweet so we opted for the dinner for 2. @ Strip steaks cooked to our individual liking, split potato about the size of Connecticut, creamed spinach. Server recommended the salt block appetizer, we... More
Went to Theo's for dinner. Did not have a reservation but got seated immediately as we were early. We had salads which came out promptly, but something happened with our entrees and we waited and inordinate amount of time for them. The waitress apologized twice. My wife had the Ahi Tuna which was very good and I had the Oyster... More
This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel ( and it was one of very few that does not close down for the season). They were very busy but we managed to get a seat at the bar. The gentleman behind the bar was fun to watch...he was amazing to watch as he mixed drinks, took orders, and handle... More
My husband and I went to Theo's during our trip to St. Michael's. We had the escargot, steaks, whipped yukons and sauteed mushrooms. Unbelievable. So good. I would most definitely eat there again.
Happy hour drinks and local oysters at Theo's was recommended by a local store in St. Michaels and we were excited to try it out. We were a group of 5 internationals - Canada, Peru, Brazil, Spain, a perfect opportunity to welcome new customers on a cold November evening. Weirdly, we were greeted like a skunk at a garden party... More
Considering the cost -- $95 for a simple meal for 2 -- Theo's was a major bust. Escargot demand garlic -- on the snails, not just on the accompanying garlic bread. The breading on the fried oysters overwhelmed whatever taste the oysters may have had. The cocktail sauce that came with the oysters gave a new definition to "bland". Making... More
Theo's always delights. The autumn choices are abundant and local and prepared with care and flair by Chef Harley. Brussel sprouts cooked to perfection with bacon are nonpareil- butternut squash soup with roasted walnut-superb! Certainly the very highest quality of beef available- variety of cuts. The quality- the ambience- the service, Bill the Maestro...Ever so gracious. I advise a big... More
