If you like thin crust; enjoy

With a appetizer one pizza works for two-save room for the desert. Great staff; better than great pizza-and a all around fun afternoon. The outside eating also helped. The town is great and this little gem helps. Enjoy

We visited friends in St. Michael's this weekend and enjoyed our third trip to Ava's. The menu provides for a nice selection and we opted for a wood grilled pizza. Ours was the Margarite and we added mushrooms and sausage to spice it up. Our friends had the daily special, a pizza cordon blue, and another couple had white pizza... More

We only had time for a quick lunch stop - and the servers were on top of the quick turnaround! Great service! We sat out back on the patio - and it was such a cool place! Love the decor-inside & out. Fell in love with the retractable ceiling and the awesome fountain! Food was outstanding. I demolished every morsel... More

We ate lunch at the bar with some drinks on a Monday afternoon. The place was nearly full and lively, even on a monday. Pizzas are fantastic as are the Fra Diavolo and the burgers. One of our better meals in Talbot County on this trip. Will definitely come back to Ava's!

We visited during March, which seems to be the offseason for St. Michaels. Nevertheless, the places was packed when we arrived just after 9:00 p.m. for dinner on a Saturday. It seemed like everyone in town had converged on this spot, and there was nowhere to stand or sit to wait. The hostess gave us a pager and told us... More

Ava's is fast becoming a St Michael's favored watering hole. It's been around for 5 or so years and has never lost its initial excellence. It's a favorite with the locals but many of us retire from the scene in the summer especially as it becomes very busy at the weekends. They don't take reservations so at times the wait... More

We only tried the wood-fired pizza at the recommendation of a friend. We all enjoyed our food, although you could argue that the toppings were a bit sparse. The beer and wine we had was very good. Three 12 inch pizzas and 6 drinks came to $100 before tip, which we consider very pricey.

Great place to relax and enjoy a glass of wine and have a good time. My friend and I stopped in for a drink in the afternoon, the bartenders were very friendly and helpful. Later we came back with our wives for dinner. Everything was great. Would definetely recommemd this place to stop and eat.

We enjoyed a leisurely Sunday evening dinner at Ava's. We were seated by large open windows near the bar on a beautiful spring evening. We shared mussels and a market salad to start, and a "meat, meat, meat" pizza for dinner. Beignets and raspberry sauce for dessert. Wide selection of beers and wines available too.

I grew up in Northern NJ where our pizza joints served by the slice and went by the name of "Sals," "Stumpo's," "Antonio's" or "Tony's" -- you know, classic mom & pop joints. Well, I still love a good slice, but my palate has become a bit more refined and I can honestly say Ava's is THE BEST!. We love... More
