Traveling with a group of 8, one person raved about this place so much that we had to try it. He was so spot on. A small local restaurant with a very friendly & helpful staff, the food (from appetizer to salad to entrée) was absolutely delicious! All the pasta's were extremely fresh. The next day I noticed it was... More

I have been to this restaurant ever since it opened as a carry out with no tables two decades ago. It was so popular that they gradually added tables, expanded, added a bar, and now just finished a redecorating. The owner, Enzio, who used to do the cooking, and his wife, Sandra, who now shares the reception duties greet regulars... More

Every bite of every course was incredible. This included the Monkfish Saltimbocca, the very inventive special of the evening. The Napoleon is a must. Very light and flavorful. The service was attentive and unobtrusive.

A small local restaurant with an unassuming storefront but an elegant interior. One can tell that this is the regular dining place for many of the diners by the way they are greeted by the owners. Because they don't take reservations there is usually a waiting time which can be spent by the bar area. The food never disappoints, their... More

I returned to Il Pizzico after almost 16 years (moved away) and I was glad to see that the quality hasn't changed a bit. Food was great, ambience great and loved to practice my Italian with the waiters. They are also very accommodating with children.

Where I grew up, great restaurants usually stood in splendid isolation. But on "355" (Wisconsin Avenue which becomes Rockville pike, then Hungerford Rd, then Frederick Rd) body shops and car dealerships rule. So look carefully it's right before the big American Flag at a car dealership. Local landmark. It's a bit disconcerting to walk from the chaotic "Pike " into... More

Although we moved away years ago, this is still my favorite Italian restaurant. We have enjoyed eating here and knowing Enzo and Sandra (the owners). My favorite is the wild mushroom ravioli with pistachio cream sauce--heavenly! And the Capriccoisa salad is not to be missed. Wish we had such a wonderful place here in Georgia!!

I was pleased with the atmosphere, the service and the food was authentic Italian. It's a family owned restaurant so they are very attentive. They have different specials everyday. We were a party of 11, consisting of 3 children and 3 elderly and the waiter was sweet to all.

My wife and I had seen this place several times but had avoided it because of the exterior. But the reviews were good so we decided to check it out. It was outstanding. Everything was fresh, service was prompt and professional. It's so authentically Italian, when I was there I felt English was a second language.

We picked the restaurant based on previous reviews, which I can only confirm. The food choice was abundat, with everyting really tasty and fresh made. ALL the pasta in this place are home made. In addition, they have excellent fish and meat choices. The cod and salmon are highly recommended; the carpaccio had a bit too much sauce for me,... More
