Amalfi is one of those restaurants that have been around forever, where the staff treats each other and patrons like family, and the food is consistently delicious. I specifically prefer the eggplant parma. It is not oily, has a good consistency, and smothered with the right amount of sauce and cheese. If you are looking for an old family favorite... More

I have never had a bad experience at Amalfi. Most recently, my husband and I went on Valentine's Day with my cousin and his wife. We had a wonderful time! We were warmly greeted when we arrived and only had to wait a moment before being shown to our reserved table. There was extra staff there for the holiday and... More

We visited Amalfi's for the first time on Valentine's Day and had a nice experience. We enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant; it felt very cozy and welcoming on a cold winter night and the service was good. The food that we ordered was fairly average. The white pizza was good but an expensive appetizer. Our entrees, the gnocchi with... More

After reading the positive reviews, my daughters and I tried this restaurant. We were really looking forward to our entrees after sharing a delicious combo appetizer of bean soup, white pizza and roasted peppers. The entrees, shrimp fra diavlo and eggplant parm tasted like institutional food. The tomato sauce on both was bland and tasteless, and far worse than something... More

My family and i visited Amalfi first time yesterday and we had a great service and the food (salad, white pizza, eggplant parm, tortellini with mushroom) were excellent except for my dish, frutta di mare with tomato sauce. Maybe I should have gotten it with garlic broth. The red sauce did not taste good. My family really enjoyed the experience... More

We took our very cosmopolitan aunt to this restaurant. A frequenter of many of the best rated restaurants in NYC, she has some strict standards for her food. Also, she has an allergy to onion and garlic. Now imagine that in an Italian restaurant. Well, Amalfi passed the test. They make each dinner to one's specifications so the onion and... More

Disappointed that they don't make their own ravioli. That's my yardstick for a quality homemade kitchen. I still enjoyed it though. Chicken Marsala and Mussels with pasta were above average. Dinner breads were cosi-cosi. The carmalized onion flat bread was excellent, the loaf bread was store bought quality. Caser salad and red sauce (gravy) were bland, the pear salad was... More

Very attentive waiter, good vegetarian selection for my vegetarian friend and good meat selection for my carnivorous friends.

Just had the most fantastic meal at this wonderfully Friendly restaurant. Started with kale salad with pears and nuts and it was so good I wanted to lick the plate, and I don't normally like kale but I must say hats off to the chef. For the meal I had shrimp over pasta and I can honesty say it was... More

The food was superb and the service phenomenal. The calamari and veal Parmesan were delicious. Will definitely be coming back soon.
