Then u know u are in the right place. This place is excellent! Sure. Sometimes long waits and service a little slow, but the food is out of sight. Folks tensing over service should sit back, relax, enjoy the Japanese food shows on TV. 8-) Special combos are an incredible deal, but haven't gone wrong with anything on menu here.... More

I've been going to this restaurant for years. It started off with great food. Then, a few years ago, it seemed to change to a slightly different menu and different chef and wasn't so good. But it has come back around. In fact, it is even better than when it original opened. Great ramen, sushi and Japanese comfort food. I... More

We've been here for an unplanned dinner, following good reviews. The place is small, a very simple yet cosy atmosphere. We got an odon soup which was gentle and savory. We also tried a sashimi platter with breaded shrimps. Sashimi was perfect - fresh and delicious. Service was friendly and flawless. We are definitely coming back.

Although this spot is tucked way up on Rockville Pike, it's worth a visit. I tried sushi, salad, ramen, and teriyaki dishes- all fantastic! This place has the best ramen I've had outside of NYC. All dishes tasted fresh and full of authentic flavor. Friendly and efficient service, good food, and very reasonable prices are found here. I would be... More

My wife is Japanese and I'm retired Navy officer who has spent many years in Japan and Southeast Asia. Since we discovered Temari years ago, my wife and I have been going there almost every weekend. We've gotten to know the restaurant's oji-san and on-site family & staff. They are very pleasant and courteous. The sushi is very fresh and... More

Except for the Ramen , I guess everything is worth the trip to this tiny restaurant. Sushi, sashimi melt on your mouth. Saba shioyaki - heaven. Go, go, go

I go there occassionally because it is probably the only authentic Japanese restaurants in the D.C. area. They have very fresh sashimi, and make a killer Tonkasu. The waitress/owner is nice, refills drinks when it's empty, clears table when you're done, but has an attitude problem when you ask her for anything extra, like if you wanted extra raddish to... We have been going to Temari for over a year and the last two times, the experience was unpleasant, and we will not be going again. Today, we brought my mother, who is barely able to walk, and although there were empty clean tables, the waitress refused to let us sit down. When I started to go over to the... More

A little Japanese joint that serves regular Japanese dish. One of the better Japanese restaurants in the area.
