This little place is not fancy, but the food is amazing. We arrived just before 9pm and were warmly welcomed. It is clearly a family-run reataurant. Child friendly. Great moo shoo dish and tasty fried wonton appetizer. Great prices and attentive service. Very kind people.

We are long-time regulars at Yuan Fu and the quality and value have not diminished over the years. We recommend Yuan Fu to anyone looking for a great Chinese restaurant, a meat alternative restaurant, or both. The menu is available as take-out as well.

Have been here twice, and the vegan food was so good that I'll go back every single time I have lunch in the D.C. Metro Area. My favorite dish is the Kung Pao Chicken, which somehow tastes like chicken right off the grill. Also of note were the Sizzling Rice Soup, which becomes more addictive the more you eat it.... More

I have been to better Chinese vegetarian restaurants, such as Sunflowers in Vienna, VA, but Yuan Fu wasn't bad. Three of the four members of my party liked our food. The only one that didn't had ordered the duck, and the "duck" appeared to be nothing more than chunks of tofu, without any real attempt to make it look, feel,... More

We've going here for many years and we have never been disappointed. Our regular wait person has made recommendations that expanded our repertoire of food choices and she has never been wrong. I asked her what the chefs favorite dishes were and started ordering those as well. I do feel that we get special treatment as we have engaged them... More

My husband and I have been going to this restaurant for 10years now. ONLY becus it seem to be the only vegetarian place to eat... Today we were in the area and stop by for the buffet. We ordered two buffet and one to go. When I got home I realiz there was no soybean in one of the dish.... More

I've been dining at Yuan Fu for many years, and the food is consistently great. It's so relaxing to eat somewhere where the entire menu is vegetarian (perhaps vegan?). And the owner is extremely friendly and welcoming.

Over price. Rude service. Foods are ok, nothing special. Came there 3 times, but not anymore. They never change.

Being a vegetarian I always thought I was missing out on some of the nuances of Chinese cuisine, Yuan Fu changes that thanks to help from monks trained in Tibet. The entire menu is vegetarian, despite the names. My personal favorite is the duck hot pot with basil, wonderful!

I have eaten here many times. Staff is friendly, helpful, efficient. Food is great. I have taken many non-vegetarians here who cannot believe that vegan food can be so good! Sizzling Rice Soup is one of my all-time favorite dishes.
