good food.

I had a wonderful meal of smallish dished - much beans and rice very well prepared. I would definitely go here again - not at all pretentious. Just good food.

I came to this restaurant to celebrate my births with a friend. Ordered the pollo y arroz which was the special for the day. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw for $12, the chincey chicken and rice that was brought out with a small bowl of black beans. Then we ordered the sweet fried bananas and it was... More

I had the Cuban sub and the bread was hard and it didn't come with a pickle or chips. Also, the ice tea was bland. I'll take my money elsewhere.

Small restaurant with great Cuban food and reasonably priced. The walls are covered with the names of famous Cuban Americans. Love the tostones, ropa vieja, palomilla bistec.

I loved coming to this place for a project last spring, best final project ever! The food was amazing and so authentic. The atmosphere and friendliness of the staff blew me away. If you have time, try talking up the owner he has amazing stories and views from pre Castro Cuba. Hint: he has strong views, but is very passionate.... More

My wife and I were travelling on 355 and decided to stop here for lunch and have a couple of appetizers. We had a shrimp dish in garlic that was delicious and also a chorizo dish with Cuban bread that was also excellent. The décor is very interesting with famous Cubans listed on the walls. The place was clean, the... More

My husband and I enjoyed delicious Cuban sandwiches while learning about some of the atrocities that befell Cuban when Communism and Castro took over. The walls of the restaurant are covered in plaques with the names of successful first-generation Cuban Americans (many of which have been autographed), photographs of famous Cubans, and hand-painted scenes from Cuban history. The owner, also... More

Four of us dined. Three different chicken dishes were ordered. They appeared to be the same, with the only difference being the sauce and assorted vegetables. One dish was advertised as Roast Chicken. In reality, it was a flattened chicken breast. Meals came with a small cup of rice and a small bowl of black beans. The dishes were shy... More

Was staying with a friend in Dc suburbs and he insisted on taking me to this place in a little strip mall in Rockville MD. It's an authentic family run Cuban restaurant that tastes like mama cooked it. The politics aside if you were visiting DC and could find your way here you would probably like it as much as... More

My Father-in-law, whose family emigrated through Cuba introduced us to Cuban food via Cuban Corner, and the food was OUTSTANDING Cuban until mid 2000's. Then it went precipitously down-hill. Craving local Cuban food a few months ago, we gave it another chance and the restaurant had recovered and showed promise. We tried it again last this week and were quite... More
