This restaurant is a good addition to this part of Rockville, offering good Greek food. The place is light and airy. The chef was thrilled when I pointed out that they made the Washingtonian Magazine 100 Very Best Restaurant list for 2015. I was given wonderful service and extra desserts because I bore them the good news. Loved the shrimp... More

My first visit with two other friends who have been there a couple of times. We ordered grilled fish, grilled calamari with liguini: not typically what you would find, it was really good. Service was friendly and efficient. The room itself was very well lit, unusually bright!

My family and I have eaten here many times, my grandkids love the food too. It's modern in decor, with a great atmosphere, the food is authentic and best I have had outside of Greece. We have eaten there for lunch and dinner, fresh food cooked to perfection, good wine list.

Service was great. Setting is nice. Rather large elongated dining room w/ a view of the street that isn't much but perhaps better than looking at a wall. The food was quite good and came out quickly. We were there on a weeknight and there weren't too many people considering the size of the place. House red was better than... More

Our first visit was based on a friends recommendation. The restaurant was beautiful, warm & quiet. But the food was disappointing. The lemon soup was cold & the grilled octopus was swimming in oil. Both dishes had to be sent back. Too bad.

We had high expectations for this restaurant; however, although the food was good, the other things that happened during our dining experience left a pretty sour taste. For example, I ordered a specific glass of wine from the menu for $7.00. When the server came back to our table he said that they were out of that wine, but that... More

We arrived just before the kitchen closed on a Monday night, and were thus pretty much the last diners. Our meals were great - there were seven of us. The lamb special I had was wonderfully slow cooked for four hours. The wine we chose was the Argentinean Malbec and it did not disappoint even though initially I felt there... More

This is some excellent Greek food. Just back from a visit to Greece, including to Santorini, we really appreciated the blue and white decor so typical of the island, the iconic Red Donkey unfiltered island beer and other details. Over two lunches, we tried all six dips (the mashed potato dip was especially good), spanakopita, cheese filled phylo pastry, mixed... More

Hand's down THE best Greek food I have ever had in DC Metro area. The grilled Octopus had me slipping away to my five year's on the Island of Crete. Cooked to perfection and all it needed was my application of lemon juice. It was savored by all at our table. Just the beginning of our inexpensive sojourn to the... More

Trapazaria is a welcome addition to downtown Rockville. The Imam Bayaldi was the best I've ever had. For me, this is reason enough for frequent visits. Wonderful dolmades with lemon sauce too and excellent grilled veggies on the side which change regularly. I also like grilled squid: It is best ordered when they aren't too busy, as over-cooking is a... More
