At a recent visit to Lebanese Taverna I was surprised by the long line despite a near empty dining room. I waited in line for over five minutes before it moved , I had been to other locations before and I was looking forward to the food which is typically good. I was finally waited on and I promptly sat... More

I normally steer clear of chains (with a few exceptions), and am likewise loathe to write them up here. But I had a very pleasant meal at the Lebanese Taverna in the Congressional Plaza center recently and figured I owed them their props. We’ve eaten at other locations over time (they have about a dozen locations in the Metro DC... More

The Lebanese Taverna Cafe occupies a prime location on the square in Rockville Town Square. If you have had Lebanese Tavera food then you will not be disappointed by the food. Of course the menu is scaled back somewhat, but it still gives enough sample of the cuisine. I certainly recommend the hummus as it is creamy and goes well... More

I stopped here for a quick bite to eat on a trip down south. I have only tried Lebanese food once before so I am not well versed in this type of cuisine. Despite my lack of knowledge, taste and flavors don't lie. I had the Kafta platter. It was really flavorful and tender and I liked the portion size... More

This is a very good deal for a quick, on the go meal at a reasonable price. The food is Middle Eastern with several starters that you can add to a platter of beef or chicken. There is also lamb and salmon, soups and sandwiches. The Kia Platter allows you four sides of your choice with either Chicken or Beef... More

I had the chicken shwarma sandwich, which was good but wasn't moist enough and it was too garlicky. The pieces of chicken were of high quality however. For $2 more my wife had the same sandwich with fries, that was good, and also a small salad. Overall this was a good meal at a reasonable price.

Great food, great service. Some customers were annoyed at the wait for food but they don't realize its because they are actually cooking it. I felt it was normal waiting time for lunch. The kaftan is amazing and they always throw in plenty of fresh bread.

We stopped in for a late dinner. We had never been before so we had to look over the menu. I had the falafel sandwich and it was good, but a little dried out. The side salad was fresh and tasty. My son and husband shared chicken and lamb kabobs and the ground lamb (I forgot what they called it).... More

I've had chicken schwarma before but this wasn't it ... Not spicy, no red sauce. The pita, cucumber salad, and rice was good. At best this place was OK. I'm glad I didn't go to their official restaurant and pay top dollar for their food.

Very nice casual place, great location. Make sure you have parking validated. Pita bread to die for, baba ganoush is excellent
