Truth in advertising...this place is our "Cheers." We first discovered this hidden gem the week they opened at their first location (under a different name...they changed the name when they moved) and were more than delighted when they moved to our local neighborhood village center. We've gotten to know the owners and a number of the servers who recognize us... More

A typical mexican restaurant menu; luckily the food is well prepared. However, after several visits I must say the service is lacking. The wait staff always seems harried, not much attention paid to getting your order, slow to deliver, and forget about getting the check taken care of quickly. A nice family restaurant atmosphere with the common mexican decor tucked... More

No...no.no. Let's start here. Their "happy hour" specials are only offered in the bar. It was a beautiful day out so I was sad I couldn't sit outside with my fiance to eat bit we wanted to try the specials so we sat in the bar area at a table. We were the only people there. It was lunch time... More

As a visitor growing up in southern CA/southwestern US, I was a little skeptical about the veracity of the food here, but I found both food and service to be excellent...and the decor was tastefully reined in. They made quac right at the table with a number of add-in options and while I'm a purist when it comes to guac... More

This is the best mexican nearby. Good chips and salsa. Love the spinach enchiladas. Lobster specials are a great deal. I went for Mothers Day. Good service.

We recently moved to Rockville in September of last year. We decided to go to Villa Maya restaurant which is right around the corner where we live. We have been going there every week since. The restaurant is always at capacity and the staff is incredible. They all know us by name now and the food is simply incredible, especially... More

Authentic, fresh southwest food. Creative blends of seasonings and offerings to suit virtually every taste. Delicious margaritas, sizzling fajitas, and always fresh fish on the menu. Very crowded on weekends and special events. But, the owners and staff are always incredibly friendly and make you feel valued. A bit pricy compared to other mexican restaurants, but a clear step above... More

Plenty of accolades recommend this friendly, clean place. The food is accessible (that is the items are familiar to American tastes) and prepared with fresh, healthy ingredients. The extra thin, crisp chips are served warm with an irresistible warm salsa. The marinated steak is superb. Other dishes are excellent as well. Service is great and price is right. Extra spicy... Very good Mexican/American food. Really like the fajitas, including the vegetable fajitas. Good tacos and the like. The steak is very good according to my brother-in-law, who goes here a lot. Place is unpretentious but clean and well decorated. We have not found better Mexican and it is worth a drive. Service is very attentive too.
