Salmon was excellent, so was our Samoza's. Not crowded on Saturday night. Table could have been a bit cleaner. Ambiance could be a bit better, too. But, very good meal overall.
I have eaten at Spice Crossing many times and recently introduced the restaurant to my boyfriend. He loves Indian food and now cannot stop talking about how wonderful the food is at Spice Crossing and how well they use spices in general. We have eaten a second time already. He is ready to go back anytime!
After a long drive on the way to DC, this was a welcome and rather late night respite. Though closing at 9:30, my boyfriend and I were served at 9 pm and given very welcoming service. The chicken dinner I ordered was perfectly cooked- literally the best chicken I have ever had in an Indian restaurant. Shareable portions and a... More
We went to dinner at Spice Xing in November 2014. We were pleasantly greeted by the maitre d' and led to our table. The restaurant is large, has an open feeling, and is well decorated. Our food was variable in quality. My daughter's uthappam appetizer and chicken tikka appetizer were both excellent. My malai kofta with garlic naan was also... More
As an Indian I tend not to go to Indian restaurants too often. Frankly, I find them sub-par as the owners just do not bring a world-class atmosphere and finesse to eateries. It is just like as if we never left our country. Even, if they are of class they tend to cut corners, or charge patrons stupidly high prices... More
This was a great Indian lunch buffet- wonderful Naan comes to your table and at least 8 hot vegetarian dishes to choose from - (3 meat dishes and one fish also). I also got to try my first lemon rice- uh yum. For the price, the variety of dishes was wonderful. This was a great Friday lunch in Rockville
started coming i think about 7 years ago, very good! love the salad, the clear dressing, veg dishes and fruit or pudding for dessert.
We had Dinner here no 8th June 2014. Actually we were travelling with a group from India and had everything arrangement by the Group Tour Operator. So first of all, the Restaurant was not specifically chosen by me. But still, we thoroughly enjoyed the great food. The Restaurant has very good ambiance, and the quality and test of food was... More
Spice Xing in Rockville, MD is hopeless Indian Restaurant. We went there for Weekend Lunch and most of the curries (We are vegetarian) were cold. The soup of the day (Tomato) was watery and did not taste any good. In the Chaat section they had Chaat Papdi and Alu (Potato) tikki. The Cheakpeas for the Chaat are canned version and... More
Location: The location of the restaurant is perfect for strolling around the Rockville Town Center area, especially when there are events taking place. There are other shops and stores around, kids are playing, people watching people and enjoying the sun. Restaurant: I've been coming to this place since 2010 and really enjoy the weekday buffet. They have more veggies than... More
