Such good food; don't be deterred if you have to wait!

We were turned away from another Peruvian restaurant 5 minutes before the kitchen closed (which is fine; I wouldn't want to cook then either) but we were turned away rudely. Bitter and miffed, we drove slightly farther away to La Limena where we were warmly greeted, and even though we had to wait... read more

We went for lunch and had some of the classic Peruvian specialties- lomo soltada and aji de gallina, as well as some appetizers. Best Peruvian food I have had since I went to Peru!! Came before noon and soon the restaurant was packed. On a weekday.....and many Spanish and Peruvian people eating here- we asked some of our neighboring tables... More

This place if very very nice. The location is not fancy at all, small table, lot of people, always packed. But it worth. Food taste very good, service is fast and efficient. Meat is very good, platanos and yucca are amazing. I also like the pisco sour cocktail (take care! very strong stuff). All very clean also toilette. Price is... More

This restaurant is Fantastic! Always busy, which means the food is great. We loved the soups, the yucca frita, the seviche, the rosted chicken, the fruit juices. All meals were excellent. As a matter of fact, the rice pudding is the best I have had in years. The owner was always there making sure that the customers were happy. I... More

Found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try based on the reviews. Turns out, once again, the Yelp reviewers were spot-on and we will definitely be back. The staff was great (Melvin was our server) and the manager (Arturo) took great pride in his restaurant. And well he should. It is a local place, simply designed... More

You've got to try the Arroz Chauf de carne (Peruvian beef stir fry)! Very clean and the staff was very attentive. We arrived at 11:30 for lunch and within 30 minutes the placed was packed. Manager checked on how we enjoyed ourselves on the way out. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

We come here whenever we have a craving for good, tasty, moist chicken. The two sauces add alot of favor. The service is good but not great, but you get more than you pay for.

Being a native Latin American, I don't expect too much in ethnic restaurants in this area. This one was a delightful surprise. Located in a strip mall, away from all tourist areas, it caters to locals "in the know". The food is fresh, deliciously seasoned to perfection and served in eye pleasing arrangements. The fish ceviche brought me back to... More

The best thing I can say about La Limena is that everything about it is excellent. While visiting the area, found this restaurant on Tripadvisor and went based upon the reviews. From the friendly greeting upon entering this .small and casual restaurant, to the attentive service (Melvin the waiter), to the the deliciously tasting food (perfectly prepared and wonderfully seasoned),... Tripadvisor rarely steers me wrong. I tried this with friends, based on reviews and it was wonderful. I would have never tried or even found this place without tripadvisor. I had a corn pudding sort of appetizer that was on special....delicious. I had the paella for dinner. It was not a huge as you get in some restaurants, but it... More
