Cavo's is better than average, especially if you're looking for a spur-of-the-moment choice for dinner with more than the garden variety of Tex-Mex offerings. The worst thing about the place is the shopping center, which has very tortured parking and bad access off Norbeck. As for the food, we've enjoyed the rather heavy Mariscada seafood stew, the Pescada en Salsa... More

Similar menu to Villa Maya, down the road, excellent quality! Friendly service! Limited parking and limited seating at dinner time.

We are blessed with a lot of options in Latin American and Mexican resturants here in the Silver Spring area. But Cavos is my favorite Tex- Mex restaurant . Its a small place with about 10 tables and a small bar; tucked into in a plaza with several other restaurants including Greek, Indian and Carribean eateries. At Cavos the staff... More

We were traveling through the Rockville area and looking for a place to eat. Cavo's Cantino appeared to be popular with the locals, so we gave it a shot. The service was pretty good and the food was above average. All in all it was a pretty good dinner.

I live in Laurel but had heard from my patient who is Mexican that for good authentic Mexican food to try Cavo in Rockville. It was worth the drive. I had Masitas de Puerco which was amazing. The meat fell apart and was a huge portion. My husband got the grilled shrimp wrapped in bacon. The menu said it would... More

Tabasco, which has changed it's name to Cavo's, is probably the closest you will find to authentic Mexican cooking. The place is on the small side but that is what makes this a family friendly place to eat. The owner remembers all his past customers and greets you with a smile. Try the shrimp with grilled onion and white rice--delicious!

Being from west Texas for the first 37 years of my life, I know Mexican food, and Tex Mex. I have not found anyplace in Maryland that truly serves good Mexican food. But this is about as close as you can get in this part of the country. The service has always been outstanding. I wish the chips that they... More

I have had my share of Authentic Mexican food and not just in restaurants. So I decided to try this place alone before I took anyone with me. I was seated as soon as I walked in. I was handed a menu. Another person came over and handed me a basket of chips and warm salsa. The chips were fine... More

Tabasco's is one of the best restaurants in the area. Try the Seafood Enchiladas! You won't be sorry. All the dishes are unique, yet authentic. It's not the franchise American TexMex - It's real Mexican food. What a treat! From the fresh chips and warm salsa to the original chicken, beef, and seafood entrees, you will be so pleased. The...
