We just enjoyed our second amazing experience at The Kitchen in beautiful Rock Hall. We dined on the highest quality breakfast with fresh fruit while splitting the most delicious scone we have ever had! The service is so friendly and you feel so welcome and relaxed instantly. They even served me a free mimosa because it was Mother's Day. My... More

My husband and I visited the Rock Hall/Chestertown area for a much needed vacation from the stresses of daily life and as a romantic getaway. We had an absolutely wonderful time, and dinner at "The Kitchen" was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. We had asked some locals what restaurants they recommended, and "The Kitchen" was mentioned by... More

My husband and I ate at The Kitchen with other members of our biking tour. The food was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is like eating in someone's kitchen. The service was a little lacking due to one server for the entire place. Our group all came within minutes of each other. We had a reservation so maybe an extra hand... More

This is a teeny tiny place with just a few tables. So it's a lot like eating in your kitchen. Okay, it's a little more formal than that, but you get the idea. The food is good! I had the crabcakes. I was in Maryland for a week, so I ate a lot of crabcakes. These were the best. I... More

Visited Rock Hall area on a quiet Easter Weekend and decided to try this local restaurant in the heart of this small but quaint town. We basically had the restaurant to ourselves which gave us the opportunity to chat with the chef and waitress before, during and after our meal. They were very nice to us and the food was... More

We were passing through Rock Hall, and checked the reviews of the local restaurants. Based on great reviews, we stopped by The Kitchen at Rock Hall for lunch, and had a wonderful meal and great service. The old bank building was a real treat. I'd like to come back during a time when they're seating outside.

The Kitchen was small, like eating in someone's kitchen. It was intimate. Boy was the food good! The crab soup was delicious and very fresh. The crab cakes were a joy to my taste buds. Loaded with back-fin and not too spicy - perfect. Owner/Chef was very friendly and so was the waitress. It's hard to believe that a place... More

After a day spent bird watching at a nearby wildlife preserve, we chose to stop at The Kitchen. My husband read the words "crab cake" and our search for a place to dine ended. The small, blink and you'll miss it, establishment was very cozy and welcoming. The limited menu posed a problem with our two small children, as there... More

Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review. Our policy is always to offer alternatives when people come with their children - we have the same problem when we dine out with our own kids (although now that they are a little older ours are a little too used to the good stuff..*sigh*)! Steve and I... More

Wow, what a terrific lunch. We had an outstanding crabcake here and would go back again just for that and definitely will return another day for dinner. A tiny restaurant which looks completely unassuming from the outside (and pretty darn plain on the inside, too) but the emphasis here is on quality ingredients and delicious preparation. Personal, family-run place and... More

I didn't think crabcakes could get any better until I had them at The Kitchen at Rock Hall. My husband had the filet with balsamic reduction and I kept sneaking bites of it from his plate. It was so delicious and done to perfection. Our server, Kat, was sweet, efficient, and more than happy to explain to us how good... More
