At The Grill at Harryman House, our menu is developed around seasonal ingredients and as many local and organic ones that we can find. Dishes originate from a fusion of American and international influences, presented in a simple and accessible style. We call this "New Urban Cuisine," reflecting the modern sensibilities of supporting sustainable farming, enjoying sophisticated and excellent food, and gathering in a beautiful but casual atmosphere. The Grill at Harryman House is a neighborhood restaurant. We pride ourselves on friendly and attentive service, and look forward to welcoming you for lunch, Sunday brunch, dinner, or a cocktail sometime soon.

Business lunch/brunch for 4

met here at 1230, 1 person was quite late--no worries, the servers were very gracious, seated us anyway and brought our drink orders while we waited. the food was good, price was right and we felt no pressure to move along.

Few years ago we visited this place the first time and had not so memorable experience. This time it was really great one. The ambiance was rustic but cozy, the food was tasting great (though entrees were a bit salty for our taste buds) and was quite creative, the service was right on point and nice, and the value was... My husband was home early from a business trip and we decided to try The Grill at Harryman House. It wasn't busy and we had a great lunch. The house is built around an old log cabin, the way old homes expanded years ago. We haven't had a chance to go back, but look forward to visiting for dinner. And... More

The 3 of us decided at last minute to go out for dinner. Chose this restaurant because it was close and always had good food there. No table was available, but there were 3 seats @ the bar. Ordered a bottle of wine, roasted salmon entree, shrimp & grits entree, and a buttermilk battered chicken sandwich. Both entrees were very... More

I am happy to hear you were able to find a spot in the often busy Tavern Room and that the bartender took good care of you. You are absolutely right about the chicken, it should never have made it out the door of the kitchen. I have spoken with the chef and he has reviewed with the staff the... More

I wanted to give many thanks for a wonderfully special evening provided last night! December is a very special month for my wife and I. Aside from Christmas and New Year's, we also celebrate the birth of our son, our wedding anniversary and her birthday. Our son is just 3 weeks old by the way. Jenny was wonderful in accommodating... Thank you for your thoughtfully written review. We have indeed been around a long time, since 1987 in fact! And the original restaurant did have a more fine dining/dinner jacket required atmosphere. But in 1996 along with a major renovation the restaurant was renamed "The Grill at Harryman House" in order to create the more Rustic Farmhouse Style experience we... More

A friend and I had a pre-concert dinner at Harryman House. They were able to adjust our reservation time, on the fly - due to traffic. The 1700s era house itself was interesting and the food was excellent. The menu has a wide variety of items and one can find what fits you appetite.

The Cabin Room dates from around 1750 when Samuel Harryman and his wife Elizabeth built "Harryman House" as a true four room log cabin from which they ran a grocery store, saddlery, and drug store. During the 1985 renovations the Cabin was "uncovered" and restored to it's original charm. Reservations are always a good idea, particularly when you have a... More

I like to Harryman House, I come here for lunch regularly. But I must say that each time I come for dinner, our family finds that it's a little bit limited with many of the items average to slightly better but nothing too exciting. The wait staff is always very accommodating and the environment is nice, and I could see that... When we returned to Harryman House after a year's hiatus, we found a new appealing menu, the usual excellent wait staff, and especially delicious dinner. There were four of us and we all had "bites" from each other's entrees - all entrees were very good. It's still the charming Country Inn we enjoyed in the past. We'll be back soon.
