Old world charm

Excellent brunch offering. Not very gracious host/hostess but the owner is very pleasant and attentive. The wait staff is wonderful.

Having enjoyed this restaurant on two previous visits, this time, it was very disappointing. We had been looking forward to their French onion soup, which we thought was excellent. However, this time, it was over salted, and with only chopped pieces of onion. My daughter's seafood soup was strong with a flavor of fish that was well past its date.... More

Went to a group event (about 60 people) where buffet food was served. Food was average. Salads and green beans quite good, seafood crepes not very tasty, meat (not sure what it was) alright. Potatoes au gratin acceptable, though I wondered if they were freshly made or from a package. The "famous popovers" were huge, lukewarm and not very tasty.... More

Normandy Farm has been there forever, or at least since before WWII. It is a very large restaurant with many separate dinning areas and a separate bar and lounge. Our son had his wedding reception there and it was very well handled. We go there for our January Family Birthday (5 January birthdays out of 15 people) and sometimes just... More

Then it's money well spent by coming to the Normandie Farm. I think they have the best Sunday Brunch in the DC Metro area for the price, and I wasn't disappointed for Thanksgiving either. They had turkey and all the trimmings and more. So much food no way you could sample it all. Even my son who eats like a... More

My husband and I wanted someplace to have a nice Christmas Day meal, and discovered many of our favorite "fancy" spots were not open. We were very pleased to find that Normandie Farm was serving a buffet for most of the day -- first as a brunch buffet, then a few swapped dishes turned it into a dinnertime buffet. We... More

I have ordered their lobster which is extremely good, also their tea time everyday is something that I do recommend to all of those who love high tea - a very European tradition.

I had read a lot of reviews about this place and, taking the bad reviews with a grain of salt, was expecting to have a great time at the Christmas buffet. It was a real disappointment. The interior of the restaurant does feel worn and tired though cute. The service was just ok. I had to remind the waiter that... More

I was expecting traditional French food but everything served here on a buffet dinner screamed American. The place looks dated and certainly can benefit from a makeover. The service was nothing special- it was fastfood cordial. For starters, we had their signature popovers- a good attempt but not light buttery and flaky enough to merit a rave. So how was... More

Attended an annual Holiday Dinner for a local nonprofit organization. Prices are a bit high, but expected at this historic restaurant that consistently provides well cooked medium rare prime rib and filet mignon. Popovers are hot and tasty and extras are offered with out asking. This particular evening, my husband, in his hurry to chow down on the filet, cut... More
