Normandie Farm is a beautifully appointed country French restaurant that harks back to the days when there was a Potomac Hunt and polo games in the neighborhood. The food is good, quite good, but not great. You can find some traditional dishes here such as coq au vin. The restaurant is known for its popovers, which are served fresh and... More

I decided to visit for the first time with my fiance, on Thanksgiving Day! I read great reviews for this place, and don't understand how it could have turned out to be The Worst Buffet I have been to for a Holiday! There were Six Major items on the buffet, that were cold, instead of hot! I complained to the... More

I used to go to this restaurant for prime rib and popovers, but no more. It has become an event factory for business meetings and promotions for stock brokers and financial planners etc. Dined there last week. Were seated in the small back room filled with smoke and no ventilation due to the aforementioned parties. Ordered my usual rare prime... More

Came here with a group of about 15 for a pre-Christmas office luncheon (all nutrition experts!) - very nice, perfect for this kind of group event. Service was very good. The food was good. Started with a Maryland crab soup which was filling but good; others had the onion soup which looked a bit appalling. The signature bread "popovers" were... More

They have an absolutely wonderful buffet (that I bring my out of town friends to) but it is a lot more than I usually like to eat so I go at 8:00 and order off the menu for a fantastic breakfast. The eggs benedict are the best I have had, with the eggs cooked to perfection. Carey (the owner) often... More

The environment is very nice . The restaurant has special puffy croissant for appetizer. As far as chicken and steak , the dishes are fine . May be my taste is too demanding .

There is a buffet all day with a few more breakfast items early. The buffet was high end, well prepared, probably 70 plus tasty bits. Yes popovers are served at the table. The decor is very worn, this isn't a fancy place anymore. But every dish was very well done. Make reservations early aug/sept for the more cozy rooms. I... More

Went on Thanksgiving, had a reservation for 29 ppl w a private room. We were visiting the area for a hockey tournament and I chose this place bc if the reviews on Trip Advisor. They were slightly behind schedule but that's to be expected. We had the buffet, no complaints from anyone. The waiter could have been more attentive, I... More

I had chosen Normandie Farm because we were looking for a NICE restaurant with a country setting and reliablely good foor and service. We had a reservation for 2 o'clock and in spite of the extremely large number of people waiting... More

It's been more than 50 years since we ate at Normandie Farms. As a young couple stationed at Ft. Detrick, we used to save our money so we could drive down to Normandie Farms as often as possible to enjoy a delicious meal there. We still talk about their delicious food; especially their popovers! Wow! We'd love to go back!
