Good Food

Good quality food. Generous portions. The kabobs were excellent and the salads were fresh and plentiful. You can also bring your own alcohol. The ambiance is not there but the food easily balances the scale.

This empty hole in the wall is actually quite good. The salad was incredibly fresh. We couldn't pronounce any of the menu item names and the servers aren't particularly attentive but the food was a welcome surprise. Try the Kabobs and the tomato, cucumber, radish, feta salad. It is definitely not #1 in Pikesville as rated today but, we will... More

My partner and I have in past months become "regulars" at this restaurant. The soups are exceptional, the lamb cooked to perfection. Carrot salad is fabulous, unlike American sweet carrot - raisin salads. Thursday belly-dancing, 8PM during summer months, is a highlight. BYOB helps to keep down the cost of the meal. Atmosphere is great. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Good menu with lots of selections. Another great thing is its BYOB, so bring your favorite bottle of wine. Tip: go on a Thursday night between 7-8 p.m. and watch live belly dancing. We will go back.

Bкусный Oбедающий Uzbek! Uzbekistan is a place to dream about: a far-away land of palaces, emperors, mosques and some of the world’s most beautiful stark and stunning scenery. A sigh, a sip of tea, and no matter where you are, you imagine yourself perusing the exotic goods in crowded market, or on a caravan heading east towards the Fergana, with... More

Delicious Russian/Uzbecki food. I've been there four or five times, and everything my friends and I have tried has been good. The Tashkent salad, salmon kabobs, and veggie kabobs are my favorites. Attractive decor. Good enough service. And a belly dancer on Thursday nights!

A friend had been here recently and recommended this restaurant. Its been here for a few years and I've past it many times but never noticed it before. The food was some of the best I've had - very flavorful and plenty of it for a very reasonable price. And an added treat was an excellent belly dancer (Thursday nights... More

My only hesitation in writing this review is that this marvelous restaurant will become well-known, crowded, and expensive. But it would be selfish to keep it to myself. We went for dinner last night--first impression is of a very attractive but simple room, cheerful designs on the table cloths, rustic sort of walls. When I saw the low prices, I... More

This is an unusual surprise on sometimes-grim Reisterstown Road. The food is phenomenal, sort of a happy meld between Afghan and Russian. I have not eaten ANYTHING not delicious there, from the soups to the (really great) salads to the dumplings, grilled fish and the really unfortunately named jiz biz. And it is almost as cheap as ordering a meal... More

I first came to the silk road bistro this summer with quite low expectations but was very pleasantly surprised. While the space left me somwhat unimpressed, the food was a delight. Since then, the interior has been spiffed up. Attentive service, very good food (especially the Lamb chops). BYOB, seems like to be a great place to go with a... More
