We have been there several times before when coming to Oxford in our boat. They advertise pick up at marinas in Oxford. We made a reservation on Open Table and decided to walk to restaurant (0.7 mi) and get a ride back. When we arrived informed hostess who said they could do that although "pope mobile" was out for repairs.... More

My husband and I were celebrating an anniversary and decided on Pope's Tavern. We ordered four things to share - cream of potato and leek soup, BLT salad, smoked salmon appetizer, and the special, flounder francaise. The soup and salad were good, but nothing special. The salmon and flounder were wonderful! Creme brûlée for dessert was tasty but nothing out... More

Stopped in for lunch on Easter Sunday. Had a great flatbread pizza and really enjoyed sitting at the bar and looking at the boats. Would definitely recommend while in town!

My wife and I each had two appetizers for our dinner. I had the fried artichokes and the flat bread pizza. She had the small Caesar salad and the fried calamari. All were very good. The creme brule was excellent. The wine list is short, but we found a nice fairly priced California Chardonnay that we enjoyed

My wife and I stopped in friday night before easter to grab a small dinner. We ate in the bar area as we wanted a quick bite. The meal was outstanding and the staff so helpful. Everyone there staff and customers were like family and made us feel as welcome as you can for not knowing someone. The owner/executive chef... More

Welcoming and attentive wait staff, extensive selection of wines, and handsome furnishings make this a pleasant place to spend a winter evening. Biggest complaint is that the chef seems to be a bacon fetishist, sneaking it in to many of the dishes, which is offensive to the palate of those who find it objectionable, overwhelming or merely unpleasant. Excellent cappucinos... More

This is a lively bistro with a somewhat Provencale-inspired décor. The food is well prepared if not exactly leading edge. The short ribs are a standout, and I hear that the crab cakes are also a strong dish. Overall a nice small town dining spot.
