This inn has a cozy resturant with a small bar attached to it. Service to our table was outstanding. Very limited menu which we enjoy. Wife and myself had the flounder with herb/ garlic mash potatoes and spinach. The crusted bread came with a garlic infused olive oil. Garlic overload !! Between the bread and potatoes taste buds want into... More

We had a large party (10) and were given our own room--they were very welcoming and accommodating. Food was delicious--everyone was pleased!!

Oyster special $1.00 each was a treat- delicious, tender and properly shucked. Main dish of roast duck with potato and poached pear in a port sauce was delicious. Limited list of wines by the glass but I found one that was good.

Food was great, staff friendly. The dining room decor reminded us of a french country inn. Out front is parked the "Pope's Mobile", an English taxi vehicle (don't know if it runs or not). Enjoyed ourselves

I ate a number of meals while I stayed at the Oxford Inn. Every one was a treat. Service was great. I live in ND where fresh seafood is not found, and loved the selections available. The fresh oysters were wonderful.

Rock fish arrived looking and tasting like it it was cooked yesterday, hard and luke warm. Way to pricey, many better places in Talbot county.

On the recommendation of a marina manager, we visited Pope's Tavern on a Monday evening in mid October. What a terrific meal! The crab cake set on succotash was perfectly paired and seasoned. The service was attentive but unobtrusive. Fresh ingredients are used here at the height of their flavor. Definitely worth going out of your way for. The ride... More

Neat waterside town, with this great restaurant that has an active owner-host. Food is excellent, great ambiance in a B&B inn. Energetic crowd just adds to the experience. Seafood of course a specialty. Recommend for a romantic out of town dinner. I had blackened MaihiMaihi, spouse had soft shell crabs. Both dishes were excellent, and presented attractively.

My wife and I stayed at the Oxford Inn as we were in town for a wedding. Lisa and Dan the Innkeepers and restaurant owners could not have made us feel more at home. We were made to feel like we belonged in the small sailing town. One of our greatest experiences while in Oxford was dining at Pope's Tavern.... More

My wife and I recently ate at Pope's Tavern in Oxford, Maryland. We were picked up in a 1958 London Cab at our B&B by the owner. The greeting was warm and welcoming. The service was very good and not pushy - we were allowed to enjoy our meal despite it being a very busy Sunday evening. The food was... More
