overpriced!

Believe me there is plenty of food and if you walk away hungry, there is a problem. My thing was, unless you sit and crack crabs the whole time, your not gonna get $34.00 worth of food. And I'm not sure the quality is there either. If your one of the lucky people that can eat dozens of raw... read more

This was the first time that we have came here to eat. The food was great. It was fresh, great variety, staff very friendly. Wait staff were great, our drinks were never empty, dirty dishes were removed as soon as you were done with plates. Will definitely recommend to stop and try for yourself.

Anytime we visit the Del Mar shores we make it a point to visit Phillips...probably one of the best buffet all around...the CRABS make it that more special. Reasonably priced, great atmosphere and terrific service. We will be back next summer

We had not been to Phillips in over 10 years due to a few bad past experiences. Decided to take the plunge and retry the restaurant after hearing good reviews from a few friends. Since I had my sister (the crab expert) and my husband (equal crab enthusiast) with me this was a good test. We went to the buffet... More

We have eaten here many times over the years. But Sunday nights in a resort town off season can be iffy no matter how good the restaurant. When we walked in there was no one at the reception station. We waited about ten minutes then tried to flag down a server but they were all busily trying to handle the... More

The buffet was really good except the overcooked crab legs. Really expensive at $35 a person. Broken ice cream machine. Staff was great and brought me band aids when I cut myself on a shell. Would go again if I had the $

We have been visiting this location for many years. The prices are increasing and I believe that better values at other places in town for the dinners. The buffet is always popular and a lot of choices. we used to do the buffet a long time ago when it was around $30. We arrived at 7:30PM Sat in late Sept... More

My son is a seafood lover and for him it is a wonderful choice, It helps that he is a big eater. For the rest of the family it was decent, but pricey. For our family of 5, (4 adults and 1 child) the cost, with tip was 175$.

Phillips is a chain. I'm not going to write home and say this is inspired, life changing seafood, and I think it's a little over priced. However, you know what to expect when you go - the food is good, though I think the menu could use a few healthier options; there's a buffet, which is also good and reliable;... More
