OK, but....

Ordered a dozen large steamed crabs. Taste was better than average but quality was not consistent for price. Service was very good. Biggest gripe was the price of beer. Domestic bottles were $4.50???!!! Did not know this until check was presented. Most establishments charge $2 to $3 per domestic... read more

My wife and I go to OC Maryland and this Higgins location twice a year when we are on vacation. Our server this time was Lauren and she was excellent. We believe this is the 2nd time we had her as our server and once again she we awesome. I have worked in this type of restaurant environment most of... More

I have the spiced shrimp which was very good. Other members of the party had a variety of seafood dishes and all enjoyed them. The hush puppies are very good. The waitress was very attentive and provided for our needs.

We got Oysters from here in season of course. They were great. Also the steamed shrimp was very good. The staff was not very busy so we were waited on immediately. There is seating at Picnic type tables for eating of crabs. Everything was good! Efficient service. Oysters were great! Large and tasty! Will return. This is not our first... More

The crabs were great and our waiter was enthusiastic and attentive with our party of seven. The owner was dining in the restaurant with a group of people that night, which is always a good thing to see.

We wanted steamed crabs and had never tried Higgins before and I am not sure why. When we arrived I was somewhat leery about going in because there were only 2 or 3 cars in the large parking lot. When we went inside there were only3 occupied tables in this large restaurant. No one was in the bar. Our server... More

My husband and I were looking for an AYCE crab restaurant. We checked Trip Advisor and found Higgins was very close to where we were staying so we decided to give it a try. We were hesitant to go due to the past negative reviews there but did not want to wait in the long lines at other establishments. We... More

We initially went to The Crab Bag 2 blocks away, but when we were told it was over an hour wait, we drove 2 blocks south and went to Higgins. We walked in and were seated right away (which should have been an indication of issues). $3.50 for a soda, $3.99 for a small draft beer, and most bottled beer... More

Be aware, you'll get nickel and dimed... 3.50 for a soda! That's how they keep the all you can eat lower than the surrounding places. Our daughters birthday, they said they would sing and bring a cake out. We'll, they didnt say they would charge $3 for it until we noticed it on the bill. Otherwise, great food. First set... More
