We went here and there was no wait, that should tell you something right there. The place was kinda dingy and seemed a bit outdated. The service was good. The plate share charge is announced but seriously put a bummer on our "plans" not that $26 for a full rack of ribs split between two didn't make them more than... More

No wait for a table, place was pretty empty. Food was good, could have been hotter-food was luke warm when it came out. Would try it again though!

We went to this place with high expectations. We've dined here in the past and were pleased but this was an awful experience. We called ahead to reserve a table for 14 and a high chair (some of our family is on the larger side). At 7pm, the place was empty. The booth/table they reserved for us was not accommodating... More

We've been here many times over the years and, sorry to say, the food isn't what it used to be. Tonight four of us ordered 1/2 racks of ribs and each of us agreed they were no longer the fall-off-the-rib tender meat we've had in the past. They were also fatty and seemed to have been re-heated in a microwave.... More

We arrived at the J-R's ribs on upper end not the one on 68th street. We were sitted and waited 10 mins before anyone came to take our drink order 1st. Next we ordered our food, the table next to us on either side came AFTER us and they were served drinks and food before we waited another 20 minutes... More

Went to J-R's at 131st on Sun/16th. A little surprised me and my wife were the first ones there. Not sure if that is the norm as this was our first time here. Always saw a crowd here during the summer months and always wanted to stop in. Well, chose a couples night out for an early dinner to give... More

Was here on 12-31-2013 for dinner with a couple of friends. Ordered the Crab Cake. At first, the Crab Cake tasted ok but as I began to eat the middle part of it I began to get a pungent taste. Instead of not eating anymore I forced myself to finish it. Sure enough about 30 minutes to an hour later... More

Been here once and ordered fried shrimp. Tasted fine, but shrimp hadn't been cleaned. Gross, in my opinion. Won't be going back.

Nothing was open in Ocean City so we stopped at JR's. The bar area was crowded with patron's watching football. They sat us in the dining room. Our waitress took our order (4 orders of chicken and ribs). We also ordered drinks and a blooming onion. When our blooming onion came, it was drenched in grease. Not wanting to complain... More

We love OC during the off season but have found that some of the restaurants fall flat during that time and JR's was no exception. We went to the 131st Street location with high hopes because we had been there before and had an excellent meal. We arrived to find the place more than half empty but still were made... More
