Food was incredible, however we had a large family that doesn't mind spending money, however, no highchairs for children. We went early trying so kids would behave however it was upsetting with no highchairs or children's menu. Would recommend for all other occasions, just not family with children.

My wife and I went to the Hobbit for our 8 year anniversary. I got the Filet Mignon with Crab Imperial. It was the best steak. I have been to several steak houses such as Ruth Chris, Charlie’s and Morton's but the steak at the Hobbit was the best hands down. When you first arrive it is attached to a... More

My husband, brother, and I ate dinner at the hobbit last night. The hobbit was always a favorite restaurant for us in years past, however, my husband and I had been once When they first opened in the rivendell and we were not impressed. Since my brother was visiting, we decided to give it another try . The cream of... More

We recently took some friends for dinner at The Hobbit during restaurant week. The crab cakes, appetizers and desserts were fantastic. Our server was very attentive as well. The only negative was the fish special and vegetable which were not very good. We were offered to swap out the vegetable.

A long time restaurant with a facelift and great views of the bay. Started with a tasty salad with dried black cherries and a delicious light dressing. Soup of the day was Manhattan Clam Chowder served in a tureen instead of a bowl - it was tasty and full of veggies and clam pieces. The short rib with horseradish mashed... More

The place is really good. I was there with one of my friends. The service was great. We made a reservation so when we got there we were seated immediately and the server was right there. Well, she was slow, messed up my order + charged my card twice (we had one bill), but all in all it was great.... More

I have eaten there many times and it was never bad. I get the crab cakes almost every time. All jumbo lump crab. The tuna tartare is a great appetizer. Service has always been good.

My husband and I decided to dine at Hobbit Restaurant on Saturday evening after a very rainy Car Show weekend. The restaurant is beautiful with incredible views, very classy and well appointed. The food was delicious starting with the calamari which was prepared perfectly, melt in your mouth with great dipping sauces. I ordered the crab cakes and I am... More

Three friends and I went to the Hobbit for early bird (must be seated by 5:45) on a Wednesday night. It is a very classy restaurant with views of the marshes on the bay side. Huge windows to view the sunset. The early birds were reasonably priced and included rolls and salad. I had the flat iron steak which was... More
