All you can eat crabs is the way to go. We had a great waitress who kept us well stocked and happy. Not too crowded but a fun place for a casual meal.

I was looking for a seafood place close to my hotel and since it was off-season, many places were closed. I was greeted warmly by young man at the establishment and was seated promptly. The server told me the all you eat corn and crab was the the most popular item on the menu so I ordered it. It was... More

I really enjoyed this place. Our waitress was great and even provided me with a lesson on eating crab. It was crowded, obviously because it tasted great.

Bought take away dinner. One order - crab cake sandwich. The other- clam chowder. Higgins advertises themselves as one of the best crab houses in Ocean City. Don't believe it. The crab cake was laced with cartilage. Not small bits. Chunks. I was pulling cartilage after every bite. You would think that the kitchen would have made an effort to... More

Visited Higgins Crab House Oct 29, 2015. Empty restaurant due to time of year. Polite, professional staff. Service was excellent (to be expected because the place was a ghost town). The food: had the cream of crab soup; the crab cake sandwich; the rib sampler. It was....ok. In all the years I've been going to OCMD, one thing is consistent:... More

Higgins Crab House of OC is something of an institution among Ocean City’s seafood restaurants. It has been there seemingly forever, a feat in and of itself considering the coming and going of restaurants in OC. My comments refer to the original location, located at Coastal and 31st Street, now called Higgins Crab House South. Higgins is renowned for their... More

All you can eat crabs were too much for me--never got a second plate. Husband got Alaskan crab--more meat with less effort. Come prepared to wield a mallet and get crabby under your fingernails digging out the goodies. Less messy meals available, not cheap, good service --they even advised me on an all you can eat without the chicken and... More

After reading some other reviews, I have to ask "'were we at the same restaurant?" Here is the truth: the food was really, really tasty. Well portioned, hot, made to order, etc. The service was outstanding and that is what I will focus on. (It is presumed that the food is good for such as long-lived restaurant.) A warm greeting... They have a lot of all you can combos - Crabs, shrimp, ribs, etc. The only thing is the King Crab legs, they will charge you an extra 4.50 per pound. We had a bit of wait after we got seated and I don't know if the server that finally came was really our server of just one who noticed... More
