We were here with 2 other family members for dinner on a Tuesday night. The restaurant was busy but we were seated in 5 minutes. The food was very good and the service was excellent. They have a very fresh salad bar but the selections are limited. We sat at the window overlooking the water and could watch the boats.... More

Captain's Galley ll is one of our "must eat there places" during our annual visit to Ocean City, MD. The main reason is thei, r absolutely "knock your socks off" jumbo lump crab cakes...all jumbo lump meat, and no filler. You can get them either broiled....my favorite......or fried. They've also got a killer salad bar.....everything is fresh, and they have... More

We had dinner there and it was fantastic!! We had the broiled shrimp imperial, New York strip steak and the surf & turf (petite filet and crab cake). Everything was really good. I was so happy with the broiled shrimp imperial! Captain's Galley never disappoints. Can't wait to go back!

Agree with the locals...the best crab cakes I have ever eaten. Everything that was ordered was absolutely delicious and worth every penny.

We always go to Captains Galley II when we want crab cakes which are the best around. We enjoy the salad bar and the good service. It's has a little dated atmosphere, but with such good food, that doesn't matter. Good harbor view.

We went on the Island Adventure boat ride and the local tour guide raved about the crab cakes so the three of us went there for a late lunch today. We ordered hush puppies and oysters for apps and they were quality offerings. Mae each ordered broiled crab cake sandwiches on special kaiser roll bread. Five stars from all three... More

If you are picky about crabcake sandwiches and only want one when they are outstanding, this is the place to go in southern OCMD. They were so good we made the intrepid trip across the bridge mid-day two weekend days in a row just to enjoy them. Note: the five rating is just on the crabcakes - the other food... More

We've been going to Captain 's Galley I and II for over 25 years (Yes I remember the original restaurant on the site and some of the staff are still there) I can say that I've only been there for the crab cakes because they are that good. I did notice that that Cream of Crab soup was a little... More

We have been coming here since the 1980's for their crab cakes. We prefer to come later in the evening and eat outside on the upper deck. We have a broiled crab cake sandwich and beer and relax. It is casual and nice to look at water and boats. Much prefer this over sitting indoors for a dinner. Sandwiches are... More
