I have been coming to this place for 10 years or more. The crabs imperial is great. I came with my family yesterday and the service was SO poor. We waited over an hour to get our food. When I complained they only took off the price of our drinks which was mostly water!

We love to sit out back and watch the boats go by. Great crab cake and strong drinks = good time! Happy hour is always fun and good lit fare menu. Nice casual place.

since this restaurant has been a favorite of ours for over fifteen years it was with great hope & anticipation that we ventured back on Saturday evening. Because the Rt 50 bridge was closed due to a malfunction, it was almost an hour drive to go out of our way to get over to the Captains Galley - this is... More

WE had AUCE upstairs outside deck, the weather and view was great, can't say that about buffet, the crabs was very mushy, salty and didn't taste very well. Five years ago best crabs in town not now.

The best service and crab cakes, hand made and broiled to perfection. The Crab soup was also very tasty had to get an extra bowl. The location was easy to find and very scenic.

Ordered shrimp cocktail and bacon wrapped scallops appetizer and got 5 of each for a little over $20.00. Ordered surf and surf for dinner and lobster was overcooked and crab cake had no flavor. Didn't waste my time complaining because not worth it. Would not eat here again. Bill was $95.00 for 2 people. Better off elsewhere. High prices for... More

We went to the Captain's Galley II on a Saturday night, and very much enjoyed our dinners. I ordered soft shell crabs and my husband ordered crab cakes. The soft shell crabs were perfect...there were 3 of them and I could barely finish them. My husband said the crab cakes were very good also. Big chunks of lump crabmeat, no... More

I am so torn. I love the food at this place (even though I frequently complain about the temperature of the crab cakes) but the price just keeps going up. Went there a few nights ago and they were charging $28.95 for flounder!!!!!!!! $24.95 for Salmon. I can see the Salmon cost but flounder is caught local. Most places charges... More

We visit Captains Galley I I every year when we come to OC. The crabcakes are meaty and moist and yummy. The second favorite item is the Rita's delight. It's my mom's favorite. It's a pineapple cake with whip cream and coconut. Those are the two best items you can't go wrong.
