We have been going to Phillips Crab House for years. Usually we stick strictly to the sit down but this year we did sit down and buffet. The food was delicious in both spots. The food was cooked perfectly at the sit down. The buffet had a great variety and the food was constantly repenished. We were sitting near the... More

After hitting such seafood buffets as Capt. Georges, Original Benjamins, Giant Crab and others south of here I was maybe expecting too much. Seating was cramped, buffet was limited and our waitress seemed to be very forgetful. Everyone I had ever talked to that had been to OC said about how great Phillips Crab House was and that I must... Not bad for an eat all you can. There were a couple of dishes that stood out like the baked Mako fish, Clam chowder, Crab legs & Crab cakes both baked and fried. Paid almost 40USD per person overall an Okay buffet. Make sure you come hungry. Ohhh the corn is good too!!

We were in OCMD for a marriage beach retreat weekend. Stayed at The Grand Hotel & Spa & asked them where there was good seafood buffet. My husband & I chose Phillip cause it was short walk just a block away. This beautiful old english slyle cottage looking building with stained glass windows would be perfect for our "Date night".... Downstairs is a la carte and upstairs through a separate entrance is the buffet. The cost was over $30 pp which a lot a money for a buffet. The ones who came to eat only crabs got their moneys worth. The atmosphere is cheap for such an expensive restaurant. The food area is poorly laid out and gets easily congested.... More

Start with one of their terrific bloody mary's, then on to crab bisque which is almost too thick to eat. Crab cakes are still excellent, even if not 100% Maryland crab anymore. Steamed shrimp are very good - my only complaint is that they use "Phillips seafood seasoning" instead of authentic Old Bay. Old Bay is much tastier. I don't... More

I went with someone who really loves seafood. I'm happy to try it and enjoyed the buffet. I don't know if I can get my money's worth on a buffet of seafood but enjoyed turkey, chicken, mac & cheese, and lots of HUSHPUPPIES :) So rest assured if you cannot partake in the seafood, you can still get a filling... It's been 10 to 15 years since I had last been in an area near a Phillips Seafood restaurant. I had fond memories of it from visiting both the Baltimore Harbor and Norfolk Virginia areas. So when I recently visited Ocean City, I knew that would be a must do for dinner. I remember the decor of these restaurants was... More

It's a ritual every time we go to O.C. that the second night is dinner at Phillips. If we're there for a week, we go back a second time. The building at 21st Street is a Tiffany chandelier landmark; the food (a bit pricey) is top notch -- especially the crab cakes. We were thrilled when Phillips opened a location... More

I have always loved this restaurant since I started working in Ocean City in 1973 as a teenager. I visited the restaurant on Friday, September 19, 2014 and had a great meal. The wait staff was prompt and friendly. I had the Shrimp Pasta with Scampi sauce and it was fabulous. The atmosphere is great and neat to look at... More
