PRETTY GOOD

A little greasy from deep fryer ... but the food is always excellent . Especially the fried oysters ... they are fantastic ... long lines at peak hours so go during off hour meals

This place, as iconic as it may be is simply an assembly line for feeding mass produced, inconsistent quality food. As we entered the restaurant we were directed to Zone A where we were to wait for a table, cocktail waitresses approach asking if anyone wants a drink and become visibly annoyed when no one wants a drink. Once a... More

Buffet dining room is on the top floor of the iconic Phillip’s Crab house in OC, MD. I had never been there, so this was an adventure for me. We were a group of 5, and being around 5:30, had no trouble being seated right away. At Phillips they put down a long roll of brown paper for the table... More

We found the take-out very good. We received generous servings well packaged and prepared fast. The crab soup was rich, full of crab meat and chunky vegetables. The fried chicken was crisp and hot.

Back in the day (50 years ago) Phillips was a must for our family during our summer retreats to OC. It was good, and interesting, and a summer icon. These days however, Phillips is no longer one of the only seafood restaurants in OC. There are now others that outshine this restaurant, have better prices, and are more eye appealing.... More

Crab legs were ok maple glazed salmon was kinda plain. For the cost of the meal I wasn't really impressed.

Went here for dinner, the food was good and the service was very good. We had seafood, steaks and burgers in our group and everyone seemed satified with their meal.

Elegant yet relaxing atmosphere with great seafood. Prices as you would expect for a good seafood restaurant. Staff was eager and kind yet not overly bearing.

Enjoyed my time here and there is a variety of seafood and non seafood selections. They do have something for everyone. Service was good. My issue was that quality of food was inconsistent and dessert selection was dismal. Some seafood was good while other selections were mediocre or not handled well due to buffet turn around. Bottom line don't really... More

I always remember going to Phillips for the all you can eat buffet. I brought in the family in last night and did not even think twice about the cost. The crabs were good, as can be expected from a buffet an the other selections were ok. For 5 adults the cost with tip was $180. Crazy. Not worth that... More
