A Diamond in the Rough

I think restaurants should be evaluated in the context of the local competition. The best place in Ocean City MD may be somewhere in the middle of the spectrum in New York or Paris. I think restaurants should be evaluated in the context of the local competition. The best place in Ocean City MD may be somewhere in the middle of the spectrum in New York or Paris. Even so I think Fausto's Antipasti could hold its own just about anywhere. However because Ocean City is the restaurant world's equivalent of the Gobi Desert,... More

This restaurant served the best Italian I've had in MD (and I was raised north of Baltimore and live close enough to Little Italy to get there on a regular basis). The service was a little interesting and the owner is a hoot (he loves to sing in the middle of dinner) but the food was simply amazing. The pasta... More

We were with friends and our friends said they were hungry for Italian this was the first Italian place we came to and pulled in. When we stepped inside it seemed very nice. We were immediately greeted by the owner, helped us ladies with our chairs and told us about the specials for the evening. Our waitress told us again... More

Back in our Delmarva home after New York trip to the old hometown, my wife and I have already started visiting our Delmarva favorites racking up three dinners in last four nights. On Thursday, as it was my birthday, we dined at our favorite, Antipasti. That evening owner Fausto was conducting cooking classes for our local TV station so we... More

Service was attentive, and we were fortunate to have visited on Thursday night, which is steak night. The appetizer portion was small, but the steak was not.

Enjoyed an evening dinner with my wife. She had the Gamberoni alla Siciliana (shrimp linguini), I had the Rigatoni alla Pecoraia (Italian sausage w/ tomato). The dishes were served steaming and the portions were filling. This, along with a bottle of Chardonnay, made for a wonderful dinner. The server was personable. The atmosphere was warm, along with a lively evening... More

If you get a chance to visit OC and have a craving for fine Italian cooking stop in to see Fausto and try some of his homemade cooking. All pasta is homemade and it is excellent. My wife had a lasagna with veal (Timballo Abruzzese) that she loved. I had the Tagliatelle alla Bolognese that was homemade linguini with meat... More

My family and I dined here on 9/15/2014 as part of the 7th anniversary celebration of my wife and I. I included a picture of the garlic steak which my father and I shared- it was huge and even between the two of us we could not finish it. It was the BEST steak I've ever had, (my father couldn't... ... we ate here a second time while on a golf getaway... Fausto ( the owner) makes you feel like family the minute you enter the door. You walk into smells and an atmosphere of home. Seating is prompt. Service is superb and on both visits our waitresses/waiter were familiar with selections. We had table side visits from Fausto who... More
