I have eaten here dozens of times over the past 15-20 years. Yes, there have been ownership changes and the newest owners seem to be doing a great job. The atmosphere is lovely, food is prepared very well, there is a small bar area. The restaurant is separated into 3 main dining areas, one is larger than the other two,... More

You have to try the warm chicken salad, that is what I get every time I go there. Great lunch specials, upscale food compared to homestyle restaurants downtown..

We celebrated our wedding anniversary ... it was our third visit in the last two years. We've never been disappointed in the food or the service. The pretzel-crusted porkloin is our favorite! Our only complaint was the last time we were there it snowed about 2 inches while we were inside. The steep steps leading from the main entrance were... More

Went for dinner on Valentines Day. It wasn't busy when we arrived but got busy when we were finally able to leave OVER 2 HOURS LATER. We will never go back... Our server was unfriendly, impolite and failed to return to offer fresh drinks, apologize for our wait, etc. The young man cleaning tables finally brought us fresh rolls while... More

The house is great, the servers are nice and competent, but, and this is big but, the kitchen turns out plain, boring, un imaginative dishes. The prime rib was awful, the Parisian steak tough, the crab cakes boring accompanied by this terrible rice pilaf. Lobster bisque and onion soup were ok. We cut our losses and had dessert and coffee... More

We had planned to eat at the 4 Seasons at Wisp, but it is currently closed for renovations. So, we asked Google and discovered this beautiful Victorian house which has been converted to a restaurant. We were put for our anniversary and so we had the great pleasure of partaking in all of the courses. A very attentive waitress greeted... More

Upon arrival, we were greeted and taken up the stairs to the room we had reserved for our business meeting to begin our pleasant dinner. With a large selection of wines and other drinks, we ordered our drinks and began to look over the appetizers. With so many tasty choices, it was quite difficult for us to finally settle on... More

Food was amazing. Was with a large group of my family, we were placed in a room that would seat 25. Not sure how, it was a small room and we only had 18 in our party. Service was good. Did not automatically add 20% since we split the checks up. Fillet was melt in your mouth.

Enjoyed dinner in this lovely Victorian setting recently. Tables are set in cozy, separate rooms, which enhances the experience. Staff is accommodating and very personable. The wide selection of food, enhanced by specials, make the choices tough due to their appeal. had a pleasant experience, which will only be enhanced by visitors enjoying the vibrant fall colors in Oakland. hope... We had high expectations after all the great reviews on here. We were visiting Deep Creek from Baltimore and had heard this was the place to go. While the staff was incredible (very friendly and engaging, went out of their way to be fun) and the Manor itself is beautiful, the food was so-so. Maybe it was just because it... More
