Drivng up to the Cornish Manor we had high hopes of a delightful experience but were disappointed. The first thing we noticed was the "old building" smell. We don't really know what to call it and why it happens but you know it when you smell it. The service was great - very attentive and pleasant. We had drinks and... More

The Cornish Cafe, on 121 S Second Street in Oakland, is the perfect sister business to the Cornish Manor. I've been there (the cafe) twice and loved the food. The ambiance is wonderful and the food tasty. It's small inside with small tables so it wouldn't be a good choice for a large group. In addition to specialty coffee and... More

I don't want to write a bad review here because I honestly like this place. The atmosphere is wonderful. It's an extremely charming place to visit. The restaurant is beautiful. The bar is well tended with anything you might want. The service is truly top notch. The (Scottish? Irish?) bartender is an asset to this establishment. She is hospitable, knowledgeable... More

We visited the Cornish Manor for lunch. This is clearly a restored residence that has been converted into a tastefully decorated restaurant. We were seated promptly and our waitress discussed the specials. We asked for some additional time but when the time came to order they had run out of one of the specials. This was surprising since they did... More

We went on a snowy afternoon for a Christmas eve feast with the whole family. What a treat. The staff was very accomidating and the food was excellent. A bargin really. It was fresh, homemade and the quanities were large to say the least. The staff was over the top, really. I can't remember having better service in recent memory.... More

Can't say enough about how beautiful this home is. A must see. The food is good too but I just can't get over this house!

First customers on a snowy Sunday morning, and we were given the warmest of welcomes. The lunch was fantastic, such a wide selection of fine foods at affordable prices. The service was great, the food was even better and the setting was fabulous. We WILL be dining here again, for dinner next time.

Need a reservation, MAKE A RESERVATION. Prepare to be impressed. Cornish Inn is as established as it can be. Food is splendid, always something new to try and the ambiance is old school pleasant.

We ate here for the first time on a Friday evening in October. I had asked a friend of mine, who lives nearby, about it and he said that we would love it. We were there early (around 5:00) so it was not crowded. It is a lovely old Victorian manor in a simply beautiful wooded area. The service was... More

Everything we had was excellent. Confusion occurred over what my friend ordered and what she got, however, the seafood salad (not what she ordered) was great. Heaped with crab meat and shrimp. Crab dip was delicious. Great outdoor dining, Covered porch.
