Several months ago, I wrote a negative review due to poor service from the Maitre D. A few weeks ago, I bumped into the chef outside the restaurant and he encouraged me to give the restaurant another chance. I did so -- and had a wow experience. The food was delicious, the service outstanding -- a truly memorable evening.

I enjoyed it enough last year that I decided to come back for seconds and was richly rewarded. This is one of those plate-art joints where everything on the lunch menu sounds good and looks better. When tastes run wild, its best to split split everything, and so we did. We split the scallops, wagyu burger and lamb meatballs and... More

This was our third visit and the worst. We went for Sunday brunch. The menu sounded quite interesting but the product was very disappointing, highlighted by a subsequent visit to another restaurant (Bucks outside San Francisco) for brunch where the food, value and atmosphere were superb. Wildwood Kitchen offered lamb sausages, eggs and hash browns. The sausages were two wizened... More

I had the lamb meatballs as an entree. They were quite good. All three companions had the salmon, which they really liked. They no longer have the chardonnay we liked on previous visits (Campus Oak). We had another chardonnay from the Russian River Valley and it was quite good. All-in-all, this is a very nice neighborhood restaurant--informal.

My wife and I had a reservation for 5:45 and arrived a few minutes early. We were placed by the window on a cold evening. My wife immediately felt cold and we asked to be moved to a table away from the window. At that time, only one other table -- also by the window was occupied. The Maitre D'... More

Don't get me wrong, cute spot, ok food. It's just the $15 glass of house wine and the 20+ dollar entrees at lunch. I'm happy to pay these prices but not for very average food, which is what we got. I won't be back.

We had a large business group of 8. One of my associates ordered the chicken. After 7 of us were served the server told my associate his duck would be out shortly. He indicated he had not ordered duck. The server then came by 5 minutes later and said his salmon would be out shortly! By now we had all... More

My wife just came back from dinner with 3 other of her friends to celebrate one of their birthdays. They went early for the special, but some ordered off of the regular menu and they bought a bottle of wine, so it was not cheap (~$225 for 4 - not a bad check). So while they were finishing their coffee,... More

Went there last Friday with my wife for her birthday, to be honest I had never heard of the place despite living 5 minutes away. We always go to Chop't, CVS, Balducci's etc. in the same strip mall but never even noticed Wildwood. We got there a few minutes early and asked if we could have a drink at the... More

Graciously accommodate our last minute early reservation before a Strathmore concert. Waitstaff friendly, informative, efficient. Wine list reflected some palatable choices. Entrees were yummy! cherry (I think) dessert was tasteless. Sit in the back right side if you want a table for two with a bit of privacy even in this small restaurant. Noise level acceptable for conversation.
