We won't be back

This restaurant has potential, but the night we went it was slow (maybe two other tables occupied). We sat in the main restaurant and not the bar downstairs. The Pine Tree Lodge is full of itself, It believes that Valentine's Day weekend is an excuse to change their menu, up their prices, and provide little in the way of comfort. We arrived on Sunday for dinner and found the heating inadequate. A tall atriium with ceiling fans that weren't running led us to suggest that maybe by turning... More

We were staying in McHenry for Valentine’s Day and a snowstorm with bone chilling temperatures and wind greeted us that evening. Luckily, the restaurant was very close to our B&B because the roads, snow and bone chilling winds were horrible. We made it to the parking lot of the restaurant and shuffled our way across the snow packed lot. Incoming... More

This was a great place to go- came in an hour before close and was treated as well as the earlier customers. Our server was awesome- gave us great suggestions, was super friendly, and the food was really good. Really pleased.

After spending some time on Sunday afternoon looking at the menus for several restaurants to have dinner, we called and made a reservation. The place was empty when we arrived. We were seated at a table in a large room upstairs where it was probably about 55 degrees. We sat with our coats on and asked the waitress to turn... More

We came here on a snowy Saturday that happened to be Valentine's day. It's a pretty average steakhouse. I had a 9 oz filet ($34) and my boyfriend got the Porterhouse (a $42 steak). I was surprised that the sides with a la cart (which I didn't remember from being there in the past) but no big deal, we each... More

Eating there for awhile, never had a bad meal. Prices are very reasonable and it's not a stuffy place, very comfortable. Love the open fire place.

The service was ok as well as it should have being we were the only couple eating here. The food was way over priced for what you get. My steak tasted like it came from shop and save across the street. It was not cooked very well, it looked like it was pan fried over medium low heat. I paid... More

This is always a nice place to visit for an "above average" meal. In Deep Creek, there are not many "nice" places to eat in terms of food & atmosphere but this place brings a nice touch to the lake. It's a huge log cabin style restaurant and is very good steak house. Definitely worth a visit and gives my... More

We ate here because we received a gift card...and I can assure you that this was our first...and LAST time. The food is over-priced and as bland as any I have ever eaten. I had the Prime Rib at $26 and my husband had the New York Strip (All side items are extra. A loaded baked potato was an additional... More
