Our son picked The Peppermill as his go to birthday dinner destination. Total shock to us but we went anyway. We walked in and the the place had the aroma of old folks. We were greeted and seated in the back dining room by a pleasant hostess. The din of the ventilation system made it difficult to chat. Our server... More

Peppermill has been around forever but we hadn't been there in decades. Some friends suggested it for a Saturday dinner and everyone agreed 3 couples. Made reservations and good thing we did, they were booked solid the entire evening. Everybody in our group ordered something different, NY strip steak, roasted chicken, tuna steak, crab cake, etc. Everyone loved their meal,... More

A party of eight mostly family from TX, LA, IL, GA and Djibouti had a wonderful late lunch at favorite spot of both of our parents over the years. The prime rib and crab cakes are always good. My wife said the calves liver with bacon and onions was the best she has eaten since Maison Marconi on W. Saratoga... More

With this restaurant within walking distance, it's not a bad location. We enjoy the quiet atmosphere and subtle lighting. The food is superb, especially when they have short ribs! Service is spot on and the servers are friendly and helpful. The husband and I have had various dishes and none of them disappointed! All is fairly priced. Same for the... More

Nothing much changes at the Peppermill. They definitely attract an "older crowd" but I don't understand why it is more that age group more than any other. Maybe it is because they have consistently good food.

This excellent restaurant is often thought of as a gathering place for the old folks. Sometimes it is refered to as "the waiting room". The reason is because many patrons have been eating here for years and starting doing so at an earlier age. All the dishes served are very tasty. Crab Cakes are probably the best selling dish. The... Been here several times. Lots of elderly people eat here. It is a pleasant place and the staff is especially friendly. The food is hit and miss. I had liver which wasn't very good. Wife had chicken parmigiana which was very good. Good dinner rolls helped a lot.

This is a place for old parents, grandparents, and great grandparents. The last time we were there it was with Hubs grandmother. This time, we took my 83-year-old aunt and 89 year-old dad out. (Easy wheelchair access) The place hasn't change since the time when mauve and teal and pickled bentwood chairs were popular. Old people order brown liquor. The... More

Consistently some of the best meals ever. Fresh, well prepared & always of the highest quality. The service is always extremely attentive but not overbearing and the prices are more than reasonable for the quality of the product.Add to that the friendly & courteous service and it's a no-brainer.

We took my boyfriend's mother and a few other family members to celebrate her birthday at the Peppermill. It has a nice ambiance, service was good, menu was varied, and food tasty. The crowd was definitely an older one. Prices are reasonable and servings plentiful.
