Good fried food

A little pricey but food was good. If you are looking for some fried fish, fries and coleslaw this is your place.

Everyone around here talks about this place and it is good! It's going to be crowded at certain times! Lent time can be really tough! If you get a chance to try it out you won't be disappointed I had snowcrab legs that were out of this world! I've never heard one person that lives near here say that place... More

Captain Pat's was a big disappointment. I had hoped it would be one of those local diamond in the rough. Our fish wad dry and oversalted. The fried clams tasted like French fries left in the fryer. The decor was old time and the fluorescent lighting unpleasant.

Captain Pat's was recommended to me from someone. I expected food to be fresh but appeared to be frozen. Also, soup of the day came out cold. I drove a long way to eat here, totally disappointed.

We were on a golfing vacation with friends. When we worked at Pax River NAS, we ate there at least 3 times per week. It's truly a 'mom 'n pop' place. The food is good, portions are OK, and the price is reasonable. There is a lot of frying, but you can also get things steamed or broiled--gotta ask. The... More

The food sounded better on the menu than it was. Everything was deep-fied or oversalted. The staff was friendly, but the food was so poor that I don't think we'll go back.

Liked crab cakes but would have preferred less seasoning. Did not like cole slaw. Did like dessert with pineapple. Most people appeared to be buying crabs for takeout or eating in the restaurant. It is very small--a mom and pop restaurant.

My wife and I visited captain Pat's a couple weeks ago and God! That was like going to heaven for some crabs and coming back to earth we still talking about it and we're about to drive 2 1/2 hours just to go eat there, friendly service, as friendly as home, clean facilities but most of all the crabs were... This is the quintessential local place. There is nothing fancy about the interior, but the food was cooked to order, it was cooked just right with minimal breading so you could taste the food. Make sure to check the special board, you can get a great deal.

The selections on the menu are many and varied, the amount of the food was more than I expected and the prices are very reasonable. It is not a "fancy' place, but it was clean.
