Great for Breakfast or anytime. Have had lunch and dinner also. Many of the old favorites you might find in a diner. Short on atmosphere but everything else makes up for it. Beats the chain restaurants hands down. Skip them and go to Marie's. Actually family owned by local family

Parking and tables are at a premium during lunch. It's best to let whoever gets there first get the table and order an appetizer. Everything on the menu is fresh and home style good value per the other reviews. Nothing to add about the food. The service is also good. The condition of everything is tired and worn. They've gotta... More

Took the family there for breakfast one morning, place is a decent size. From the outside it looks a lot smaller then it is on the inside. Menu has everything any size family is looking for, and if you can not find it spelled out the staff was more then willing to help get it right. We will be going... More

On Hwy 301 in La Plata, MD, this place draws some highway crowd, but is clearly very popular with the locals. It's the sort of spot where you'd expect to see deer hunters thawing out after a morning out in the woods, and sharing stories of the morning's hunt, or a young family taking their little ones out for a... First off if you leave Marie's hungry then your next stop should be the doctors. The portions are large, whether it's breakfast with their plate sized pancakes, or enough biscuits and gravy to feed a small army. How about dinner and some roast beef and gravy with mashed potatoes. The atmosphere is old time and conversation plenty. It's a place... More

but Marie's has the best breakfast. The country ham, scrapple, biscuits, pancakes (the size of the plate they are served on) are just a small sampling of what they have. The only thing missing is molasses to sop the biscuits and thick slice of fried bologna. OMG home cooking at its best. They also have eclairs that will just make... More

Very fast and friendly service. The portions are generous and the pricing is excellent. The corn fritters are very good. My kids love it.

This is by far the best place to eat at in La Platta,MD. Menu is wide, portions are very big for the price. Staff and service are excellent. The Crab Soup and Crab Cakes are the best Anywhere. Come Hungry portions are large. Place is small, but well worth the wait, when it's crowded, which is often. Everyone knows how... More

They are one of the places that all the locals know about and people driving past would never stop at. Totally worth stopping in and getting a quick bite to eat.
