We just happened to get off of this exit when travelling and stopped here for lunch. I had a Monte Cristo sandwich which was spectacular. Overall, we had a delightful lunch though they were a little slow getting the food out but it was hot and fresh when we got it.

That's a great Start but the food IS the star of the show. A cup of crab soup is amazing...the flavor is 2nd to none. I love that you pick your own tea cup and saucer. The wait staff are exceptional too.

Had a tea party for my 8 year old niece here. We had a blast and the staff was wonderful. I love the look of the establishment and appreciated how they were able to alter the princess tea on the menu to my niece and her friends liking. We have visited many times and enjoy going to have tea during... More

The review title was my wife's comment, and she would consider it praise. I an stingy in offering 4 stars for restaurants, but would have provided for this place except for one thing, mentioned below. Appetizer of fried pickles and cream of crab soup were both very good. Excellent breading on the pickles. My Reuben sandwich was also very good,... More

I love everything about this place. Food is always wonderful! They have the best cream of crab soup ever. Just a darling quaint place, and I always have a great time there. Such an asset for La Plata.

My wife and I wanted to find a nice place for my daughter's baby shower. We rented the Royalty Tea Room this May and had a wonderful time. The food was excellent and the service was fast and courteous.

I had my bridal shower here this month and it was an experience that I will always remember. The staff were wonderful and the space that was provided for my shower was intimate and elegant. The food was amazing and the cream of crab soup is the first thing that everyone mentions about my shower. My friends gifted me some... More

My Girl Scouts enjoyed an afternoon at the tea room as they completed some requirements for their Social Butterfly badge. The Princess Tea was an excellent experience. They had fun practicing their etiquette skills and everyone enjoyed the delicious homemade sandwiches and pastries. The mothers who accompanied us enjoyed the assortment of of teas and the variety of luncheon options.... More

Eight ladies met at the tea room for a bridal lunch. So nice and quiet, and cozy. Service was good. Food was very good, w very generous portions. It is always fun to choose your tea cup! And a little shopping upstairs afterward is a treat as well.
