Not what we expected

Homefries were starchy, not good. Food was over priced, average. Grits were the highlight of the meal.

Decent food, selection and portion. Fast service from waitress in seating, taking order, bringing food and bringing bill. Daily specials looks good. I tried the crab cake sandwich. Really good and the fries lightly salted. Not too much. Just right. I recommend the crab cake sandwich.

A step back in time into a real diner. Food was very good. We arrived at closing time, but they prepared a meal for us. Soup was excellent as with the homemade desserts. We returned the next morning for breakfast. Prices for breakfast were a little pricey for food received, but it was good.

Excellent breakfast - cooked well. Coffee is good. What else do you need? The deserts always look awesome, but we didn't try any this trip.

Hubby & I got hungry on our way to NJ. Place was pretty clean, though old. Waitress was very sweet & attentive. I ordered a Reuben. It was the special. HUGE mistake. It was horrible. 2 very thin slices of dried out, processed meat, some sauerkraut & the smallest amount of thousand Island dressing, on rye. I had to ask... More

My daughter and I met my sister and her husband for our first meal here. The service was very pleasant and attentive. There are lots of choices on their menu, and there were at least 8 full size, freshly baked cakes to choose from on the counter (baked on site), in addition to seasonal cupcakes and pies. They serve alcohol... More

We were up and out early to get a head start on the rest of our road trip. Stopped in Frank's and were greeted warmly by a very nice waitress who seated us immediately. She was a wonderfully attentive waitress and very personable. I enjoyed the sort of old diner atmosphere with the pie and cake on the counter and... More

Place smelled of cigarette smoke. Water tasted like it had a chemical cleaner in it. Gravy tasted like it was out of a dried packet that wasn't cooked. Won't go there again.

Walked in at 3pm and the place was completely empty. It also had a very unpleasant smell to it. We decided to eat elsewhere.

The booths were complete with Juke boxes! We were there for breakfast on a Sunday morning and the staff was very friendly. The service was a little slow though. We found that to be true in the whole area though.
