Lift your spirits with good ale and lively surroundings

I attended a group dinner here recently and was seated upstairs. The industrial architecture of the building sets the tone for a fun evening. Open spaces beg to be filled with laughter and loud chatter. The challenge for a big group is to actually dine together. No problem for the Franklin... read more

I've been to Franklin's many times and I'm not sure what has happened to the food. The service has always been a bit haphazard but now the food is the same way. The onion rings weren't very hot when then reached the table - which is a real bummer. The quesadilla was fine. The mussels were overcooked and a bit... More

We ordered the onion rings, deep fried chicken sandwich, and the vulcan mind meld sandwich and that pretty mich was all that called to me on the menu and now that I've tried Franklin's, I'm not sure if I'd be going back if not for the store. One other down-side is that depending when you go, you'll have to pay... More

The service here is almost always terrible! The food has always been great, with the exception of today's Cuban sandwich that I regretted not returning, (it was missing the spicy mustard, was really dry, and had small bones or cartilage in it???). The first time I ate there it took 15-20 to get waited on after being sat. And another... More

This restaurant is a hidden secret. The food choices are great. There are so many interesting menu choices and great sides too. I would advise you to look at the dessert menu first so that you will save space for it.

I don't know how to adequately describe just how delicious the Thai chicken pizza and Reuben sandwiches are. They're like biting into a taste of heaven and they're all I ever order. My friends say the hamburgers are out of this world. In fact, everyone I know who has ever been to Frankin's has only had great things to say... More

Went here last night for 1st time with son, daughter in law and 3 kiddies. Service was attentive- and waitress made a mistake with my order which caused a delay. Before we even realized there was a problem, the waitress and the manager came over to apologize and admit the error and inform us that my meal would not be... More

Yeah, its "bar food", but its done incredibly well. The kitchen is reliable and while the prices seem to be going up to match the yuppie places moving in around it, it is still the best place to eat in the area. The beers are interesting and compliment the food well. And the mussels are out of this world. The... More

I absolutely love this place! Their food is amazing and the service is nice as well. The wings, Turkey club, and Day after Thanksgiving are my favorites from here! The beer is cool and unique, also brewed in house.

Franklin's is a true experience -- most of the food is locally sourced, the menu is creative, & the service is fast and friendly; the mussels are a standout. There is a dining room downstairs & a dining room/bar upstairs. The TV, which is in the bar, is tuned to sports, so the bar is very popular on game days.... More
