Because it's a brewpub you have to try the beer! You won't be disappointed; good selections and good quality. The food is quite good - some familiar favorites & some new things (try the flame-cooked mussels).

This is our new date night spot. I only ever get the california pizza so I'm not qualified to comment on much of thier menu, the pizza is decent but the dough could use some flavor. The beer is excellent, and the atmosphere is great. Combined with plently of free parking(after 8) and you have a very good type place.

Visited for dinner with family, 9 all told. Adults had different beers - good stuff. Food was pub fare and nicely done. Bread and beer came out first and fast; meals thereafter at the right pace. Our server was Charles and he made all of us comfortable, and gave us the right amount of attention without being intrusive. And once... More

This could have been a great place. After all, it is a brewery. But inattentive service (hello, I'm here and need you to stop chatting to the other wait staff) and one odd waiter who kept running through the restaurant like he was training for a marathon left me uncertain if I'd ever take guests to this place. What an... More

Had the Rubber Chicken Red ale, and it was really great. Confident that every beer is fabulous, as well. Unfortunately most of the family was unsatisfied with the food. Wife had "Day After Thanksgiving" and like other reviews, the turkey was too dry, the bread underneath had to be sawed, and overall it wasn't like the day after thanksgiving even... More

You really can't go wrong stopping at Franklin's for a bite. The food is good -- not the greatest, but good -- and the general store is a hoot. Save room after lunch/dinner for some penny (?) candy from the store.

This restaurant has one of the amazing and most unique beer collections. I tried the relatively sweet wheat beer which was great. But quality of food was very average. The onion rings were very oily. I had the 'Day after Thanksgiving'. The turkey was way too dry and thus very chewy. The gravy was also pretty bland and could have... More

Franklin's was apparently a well-known hardware/general store in it's day. In the 1980's you could shop for cool and unusual things like toys and kitchen stuff and then eat in the back of the place on Formica tables that were right out of your mother's kitchen. They developed a larger area years later and the restaurant part became it's own... More

Franklin's is a neighborhood favorite going back many years. Rustic restaurant and bar with an attached general store that has one of every toy know to man. Semi-noisy. Great beer. Good food. Known for their onion rings. Good fun.
