Woodlands has a great South Indian vegetarian lunch buffet -- a rarity on a number of fronts in the Mid-Atlantic area. The food is fresh, perfectly spiced and provides a fair sampling of standard South Indian restaurant dishes. The decor is plain but clean and pleasing. Service is efficient. And, the price is fair and reasonable. Lines can form on... More

Great taste, decent ambiance, reasonable price and nice restaurant staff and a caring owner..All put together, Woodlands is a nice place to have South Indian Vegetarian. Of course, their other dishes are good as well. Get in early to avoid long waiting time and crowd. I had visited this place last year March and April.

I really liked the Indian cuisine here. I was not expecting much as I am not into vegetarian food but it turned out to be better than expected. :)

This place is great if you want vegetarian Indian food. We have tried both the buffet and individual items on the menu and definitely prefer the buffet. The dosas we had before were dry, and we were put off by the whole peppercorns in the filling, not so great biting into one of those. The samosas were mediocre too. But... More

Did take-out for relatives who go regularly. Didn't know how much to order so got an order of iddly and 2 orders of samosas, a Woodlands Special Spring Dosai, and an order of Channa Palak. Came with sambar, basmati rice, pachadi, and chutney. Could have ordered one more Dosai or another curry. Would also suggest ordering Thali for more variety.... More

This is a great, if off the beaten path, south indian restarant. Don't let the mall it is in fool you. Once you enter you are in an authentic indian restaurant with excellent food at a good value. We had: Vegetable Uthappam, Mysore Masala Dosa, Pesarat Uppuma, Vegetable Jalfrezi, Channa Masala. I had never had Uppuma before and it was... More

Did takeout from here last night. Ordered dosai, samosas, chickpea curry and eggplant curry. Came with basmati rice and all the accoutrements (raita, tamarind, lemon pickles, etc). Restaurant was crowded with Indian families and food was absolutely delicious! Look forward to returning soon.

Imagine going to a south Indian restaurant and end up being treated lavishly to a sumptuous buffet of idlis, uttapams, medhu vadas, masala dosas, chat papris, golgappas, palak paneer, malai kofta, veg biryani rawa kesari and payasam. Truely an unforgettable experience. Even the kids loved the food. Surely worth visiting again and again.

The food seems very authentic here, and unique from any other Indian restaurant I've been too. My favorite is that it's so gluten-free friendly (they have sweet and savory doughnuts made with chickpea flour). My boyfriend likes their giant crepes.

Last week we had a craving for paper Masala Dosa and Langley Park was always the place to go. we arrived at my favorite restaurant a 3:05pm only to discover they closed at 3:00 and didn't reopen until dinner. So, I went to Woodlands instead. The lunch buffet closed at 3 pm (even though the host told us we could... More
