As most local chains this edition of Tara Thai is solid and reliable for a quick work lunch. Service is not great but the food is good.

Standard outpost of this local mini-chain. Limited menu of Thai standards. The food is overly sweet and under spiced. Ordered drunken noodles and could not taste any Thai basil or hot pepper. There was hot sauce on the table but its much better when the pepper is cooked into the food. Not many Thai restaurants in PG county but I... More

The portions are getting smaller overall, plus in noodle dishes there are fewer shrimp and fewer vegetables. To me, the dishes tend to be too sweet. Bummer, because the location is great and I generally love Thai food--so I would eat here a lot if it was better. We used to get take out once a week.

Good quick service and food; just down the street so it makes it easy to get to and we enjoy that fact.

Order the Kapow Chicken, no other Thai restaurant makes it better! I eat Thai food pretty often, but this place is my favorite.

I had their luncheon special again, kaw pow Chicken with ginger and chili pepper and their famous soup. It was delicious. My goodness you get plenty considering it is a special. They have their special beers that are great. You must try them. They are serve with a slice of orange. .

The dishes didn't have the typical ingredients I'm used to having at other Thai restaurants. Also, I suffered an upset stomach all night afterward. Service was just okay. Could've been more friendly.

This was the worst Thai food I have ever eaten. The food was pretty bland and Thai food should be anything but bland.

Tara Thai Restaurant is located in the Arts District of Hyattsville, MD., right on Route 1. Authenticly decorated inside, they offer very good Thai cuisine at reasonable prices. BYOB. there is no private off-street parking for this restaurant, but there is metered parking on Route 1 and free parking in a lot located around the corner.
