Interesting place. Good food. Neat!

We visited with a good friend i Hyattsville and she suggested Busboys and Poets , which we had never heard of. But they locations all over DC, so we will go again. We were there for brunch. I had the bagel and lox. Yum. Nice interesting ambiance.

I have dined at Busboys and Poets on several occasions and I have yet to be disappointed. I ordered the Shrimp and Crab Fritters as an appetizer and it was fantastic . For my meal I ordered the Grilled Cheese and Bacon Panini and I was thoroughly pleased . Their food is great at every location and the service is... More

All good experience with this restaurant. First time to see a restaurant that has a beautiful with a section like a library. It is a place not only for people to gather for great food, but also good for some culture events. You don't need to come here for a full meal, a cup of coffee and tea will still... More

With comfy couches with coffee tables, regular dining tables, and a great bar, this place offers a nice variety of different microatmospheres. I find it a very comfortable place to hang out and read, get some work done, or talk with friends. The staff is ultra friendly, and you can chill on the couch with your laptop, book, or tablet... We love the food at Busboys and Poets. We've had veggie entrees as well as carniverous, and all have been excellent. The problem we've had is with the very uneven service. We've had servers that varied from efficient and very pleasant to servers who looked and acted as though they wished they were anywhere else. If you are not in... More

Love the service and food variety along with the ambiance. However, please note that certain foods tend to be extremely salty. I would advice requesting a heart healthy option or no salt - adding may be a better option, LOL!!

Having read some negative reviews about the vegan fare on TripAdvisor, I wanted to try it out. They do have a nice selection, and they also offer several gluten free options. I had a falafel salad, which was acceptable, but not memorable. All the dishes and drinks were nicely presented. They offer a very pretty pomegranate lemonade, and the server... More

This restaurant has turned into one of my favorites. I have NEVER been disappointed. Any dish that I try is absolutely delicious, but my absolute favorite is the catfish. I can't get enough and my plate is always spic n span clean. The drinks are incredible also, as the bartenders are not stingy with the alcohol. If you haven't already,... More

Why did I like this place? The atmosphere was very modern and hip. Almost reminded me of a large cafe with flavor. The food is excellent and the menu is full of specialty dishes. Nice choice of Vino

Busboys & Poets is a great community resource with excellent food at bargain prices. The atmosphere is friendly and encourages discussion. Non of the painful loud noise that is fashionable. The new Busboys and Poets in Takoma Park is the same and fills a need in this progressive neighborhood.
