Very nice casual restaurant with really good food and good values

Nice restaurant near the U of Md campus. Very friendly and accommodating service. Exceptional sandwiches, very nice salads and good selection for kids. Very modestly priced and well worth the value. Panini's have unique combination of ingredients and were all very tasty (of the 3-4 that I did... read more

I love having a performance restaurant in the neighborhood. However, it's rather cavernous, so if you're here just to eat, it gets loud. The food is good, and if you want a place that's really hopping, this is a good choice. But not so much if you're more interested in a real conversation during your meal.

Nice restaurant near the U of Md campus. Very friendly and accommodating service. Exceptional sandwiches, very nice salads and good selection for kids. Very modestly priced and well worth the value. Panini's have unique combination of ingredients and were all very tasty (of the 3-4 that I did taste). Would definitely revisit and now they have multiple locations around DC.

My cousins took me here when I was in DC for a conference. They know me well and it was a wonderful choice--I loved the history and the references to Langston Hughes, the bookcases, and the delicious food! Definitely will return whenever I get back out to DC/MD!

A small group of us met the other day to have lunch at Busboys and Poets in Hyattsville, MD. I love the area that is becoming trendy for artist to live and work. The restaurant is spacious with a nice atmosphere and believe me it fills up fast for lunch. We had a very pleasant server who gave us just... More

Friendly staff, really tasty food, good portion sizes, laid back atmosphere. Even if your societal perspective differs from theirs, it's a really good restaurant first, and an interesting bookstore second.

Very good food and service, if you can tolerate the noise level. I couldn't find a decibel rating, but I would guess around 100. I had to take my hearing aid out, which defeats the purpose of dinner with conversation.

That's probably the most sophisticated venue you'll find in the broader Hyattsville area. They have a small menu with many vegan/vegetarian/gluten free choices and unfortunately not as many of your usual choices! Staff is very polite and the venue is buzzing with crowd.

Very good food, cute book store and depending on the night you can check out the spoken word open mic night or a book author talking about all kinds of topics. Great spot for adults. They do have a kids menue but I would suggest taking the kids earlier during the day rather than the night.

I eat here a lot because it is close to my home. My favorite is the blackened salmon. I usually order my salmon to go. The food is good and affordably priced. If you are a vegetarian, there are lots of options on the menu. When I have eaten in the restaurant, I always find the service to be inexperienced... More

Very eclectic atmosphere accompanied by great food selections for all palates - including vegan and gluten free. A great place for meeting up with friends. They also have spoken word activities.
