Pleasant service, good food, nice setting

The Oregon Grille has nice seafood, not always easy to find away from the sea. We had chilled Blue Point oysters that were first class. The menu offers everything from quite simple food -- sandwiches and the like -- to interesting dishes that make for a good meal. They are also accommodating if... read more

Given the reputation of this restaurant locally I was really looking forward to dining here. The welcome when we arrived was as one would expect and the pre-dinner bar was very pleasant and the bar staff attentive. Now to the dinner........it wasn't that the food wasn't good because it was however; the kind of money you pay at the Oregon... More

Our recent meal there was incredibly disappointing. I have been there at least a dozen times and food in the past was at least fair-good. This meal was not, especially for the price. We had the rockfish special and a steak and both were mediocre, as were the few vegetables that came with the entrees. The wine was fine and... More

Went to the neighborhood OG for our anniversary luncheon, and Dorothy as our waitress made it super. Had scallops and the Cobb salad with seafood. Both were perfectly sized, and the brussel sprouts were prepared well. The added anniversary dessert (berries w / fresh whipped cream and sorbet) sealed the deal on a wonderful lunch. Thanks!

I get it! Wear nice clothes when you go out so you don't look like a slob. I did sans a sportscoat. They lent me a coat as we entered to wear as I had to in order to get in. Wearing sports coats is not my style. Then to be seated by a fireplace heating up was a bit... More

We have dined at this restaurant several times. It is a hit or miss restaurant. However, for the prices they charge and the upscale attitude they project, the food should be better. The Thanksgiving dinner consisted of a three course meal for $49.95. The first course was a choice of potato or butternut squash soup. They were both very good... More

If you are willing to pay the fare, this is a very good place indeed! Fabulous wine selection. Attentive servers. Grilled oysters were a bit small but sauced nicely. BLT salad was great. Lobster bisque fabulous. Cowboy steak and Steak au Poivre were over the top! Desserts were nice. Celebrating my step-Mom's 90th birthday! This was the right place to... More

Set in posh thoroughbred country, the Oregon Grille may have once been the go-to upscale restaurant, but in my recent visit I found the service to be slow (maybe they saw it as leisurely), the food to be mediocre, and the prices to be absurd. Six of us dined there on a recent Sunday evening, and the parking lot was... More

I've eaten at great restaurants around the world and this is one of the best! The Oregon Grille is located in the heart of horse and hound country in Hunt Valley, MD. Driving there is a pleasure as you drive past acres of horse country with beautiful, large homes on a country road. You enter the restaurant through a pathway... More

We have been going to this restaurant for years and for good reason. It is our go-to fine dining spot. Not many places require a jacket, but if you are in the Baltimore area it is worth it. We are not much for dress-up, but when the occasion dictates, this is it. We were pleased to find that our favorite... More
