My husband and I took a family friend to Tidewater on Sept 4. This was my second time here. I have read the mixed reviews and was apprehensive to take my husband there, but we had an excellent meal. The service was the best. We had two fantastic appetizers: scallops wrapped in bacon and coconut shrimp. I had crab cakes,... More

Not much of a selection for being a seafood restaurant. They use pre breaded fish. Overpriced on the crab cakes.

About as close to the Savannah River as you can get. Priced fairly with a wide selection of seafood and good service. Very nice outside (can be buggy in warm weather). Very accommodating of dietary needs. Short walk uphill to downtown and other pubs.

My husband and two kids were coming home from the shore and needed to stop for lunch. This was the perfect place. We sat outside, the food was great and it felt like an extension of our vacation. Casual, yet classy atmosphere. I would recommend calling ahead to put in a reservation - we were there on a beautiful Saturday... More

Just when you think you've had slow service - it gets worse. The word I would use is neglect. Arriving at the Tidewater, we had a large group - 15. So we split into 4 groups and my table lost the waitstaff lottery. All three other tables had drinks before us, had their food before us and paid and left... More

We stopped for lunch at the Tidewater Grill while in Havre de Grace. It is situated on the water, but the views are not exactly scenic - there is a rusty bridge in one direction and waterfront condos on the other side. Nevertheless, we sat outside on the deck on a very hot day and found it to be very... More

This place was on its way to five stars. We had great drinks in the bar during happy hour. Watched a couple get married on the terrace with the Chesapeake Bay in the background. Had a delightful chat with the owner and complimented him on the quality of his restaurant. Decided to move to a table, but first needed to... More

we spend weekends in the area, and were eating just about every dinner and often lunch at the tidewater...food's fair and sometimes comes how you ordered it, service is inconsistent at best, but the view is great. it's pretty much what you'd expect of a tourist-oriented place. then things changed...owner started complaining about the bad winter, in the nice summer,... Great Maryland seafood... Crab cakes to die for. Right on the water. Busy busy busy but yet the service was fine and the food arrived hot and we had a party of 10. You could make a meal of the appetizers. It doesn't get much better than this on the east coast for a casual family style restaurant You won't... More

The bread was tasty. The salad was served limp and it wasn't cold. The Haddock is over-salted. The drinks are refilled only if you wave a flag and jump up and down. The bathroom is cramped. A line of two means someone gets hit by the door. The waitress had no personality and gave one of us water who ordered... More
