Good Seafood, Great Service

Our party of 5 on went on a Monday night and the restaurant was pretty busy. Monday night has lobster special - 2 lobsters for $27.99 plus 2 sides. Lobsters were fairly large and good. Calamari appetizer and crab dip appetizer were very good. Crabcakes were huge and tasty. Perhaps a little more... read more

It was late 9pm when we finally got our son from the airport and back to the hotel. Their restaurant was closed. A gentleman in the bar gave us a couple places to go eat. We chose Timbuktu restaurant. Ordered hamburgers as we didn't want a big dinner due to the time. The burgers were monster size and very good.... More

We have been to this place many times and I always get the same thing; crab cakes, baked potato and vegetable of the day. I decided to try something different. This time I order the Seafood Trio. The menu shows that it is fried but I ordered the crab cake broiled, which really is the best way to have a... More

Went to Timbuktu with a group, we preordered our meals. The service was very good for about 40, all the food came out within 15 minutes after we were seated. There were only a few items missing from people's orders and they were quickly found. Most got crab cakes which they said were good. I got Greek salad with grilled... More

I'm not into frozen seafood or artificial ingredients. This place is not so hot in my book. I'm not going to say that things are frozen and not fresh but I will say that the things we had did not taste fresh. Crap cakes, jump fried shrimp, even the baked potato.

Fairly busy, helpful servers I have eaten there before about 3 years ago. Definitely there for the “Monday Special” Either a single whole lobster for $13.99 (ala cart) or a twin whole lobster dinner with two sides for $28. I went with the twin and was not disappointed, they were 1¼ lbs-1½ lbs. nice with plenty of claws and tails... More

A little bit out of the way but well worth seeking out. The crab cakes are super! If you come to Hanover, MD, this place is a must visit. (most of the restaurants in the area are franchises) Timbuktu is a great mom and pops joint!

Food and service was great! We stayed in a nearby airport hotel due to an early morning flight. This restaurant was 5 minutes from the hotel, and had a wonderful menus and great service!

Been to Timbuktu's whenever we are back in Baltimore. Their 2 fer Lobster special (Monday's) is awesome. 2 big Maine lobsters for $22. Can't beat it. The Maryland crab cakes are huge and delicious. Dinner can be a little pricey, but their lunch specials are really good (as their dinner specials during the week).

Solely writing this review based on how good their fries were. I mean seriously I would say they have the best fries I've ever eaten in my life, honestly. This restaurant is awesome, I've been there both on business and casual occasions and the staff were awesome and the food was great. Their assortment of seafood is great, but they... More
