I stopped in for breakfast after the morning rush. I enjoyed my French Toast & bacon. It was good and it was hot. And I enjoyed eavesdropping on the staff's conversation about the feral cat colony living behind the restaurant. You can be sure this place will NEVER have a rodent problem. If I'm ever even *near* Hancock again, I'm... More

I had the pork chop dinner here. It wasn't bad, thought it was a little dry. They made it up by giving me a free slice of apple pie for dessert. Server was great. I came back the next day for breakfast, which was ok, an omelette which was a little under cooked.

I had shrimp and my friend had pork chops. Both were very good. The waitress was very friendly. And - Best chocolate milkshake. Ever.

Weavers will satisfy all travelers. There is plenty of variety and portions are decent as well. We are not drinkers so we did not mind the lack of alcohol. Desserts are also quite good. Had the lemon meringue pie and the chocolate creme pie - both were delicious

Yes folks, the 50s are still alive and well at weavers. Place was busy as can be Thursday afternoon with plenty of waitstaff (Katie was cheerful funny and efficient.) Had both specials--fried chicken and liver&onions. Generous portions with good rolls, canned veggies just like Mom used to open, and delish lemon meringue pie which Katie thoughtfully divided so we could... More

Wanted to eat at a nice "home-town" restaurant. We saw Weaver' advertised and thought since it was around for so long, it must be a great place. Not so. It seems as if there are new owners who know nothing about hometown USA cooking. We were told the food was cooked fresh while we waited... not so. Chicken dry, mashed... More

Heading back from Pennsylvania Turnpike to DC, it's worth your time to stop in Hancock, MD at Weavers' Restaurant and Bakery. If you can pass the pies and cakes on your way in and not taste heavenly calories, then you should have just gone to a fast food place. Ample portions on the menu of all your favorite American heart... More

Had lunch here while riding the WMRT and C&O Canal tow path. Huge turkey club sandwich was fine, but didn't leave me room for all the yummy-looking pies and pastries at the bakery counter.

We were ignored when we first arrived. It appeared the two standing at the counter for 3 minutes couldn't perform the hostess duties so we just stood there.Once seated, our server was pleasant though. I ordered the reuben and in no way should you expect a "deli" style sandwich. It was less than an inch thick WITH THE BREAD! They... More

Gone are the days when a sandwich was served on their homemade bread with a generous portion of deli meat. $9 for bagged bread and skimpy portion is too much. $3 for a meager serving of fries is the same. The salad bars was sparse, as was the bakery case. This was always a "must stop" destination when passing through... More
