Good but Basic Place to Eat

We usually would stop at Weavers on a weekend when passing thru the area but recently stopped on a weekday for a quick dinner. Then menu seems considerably abbreviated but I'm not certain if weekdays were always that way. There are mostly a variety of sandwiches available. The salad bar was very... read more

We thought we would try a different place , so we gave Weavers a try . Staff didn't seem friendly , carpet looks dirty ,when you see it what it looks like near the wall. I ordered a fish sandwich and the grease would drip out on the plate, squeezing the bun. They have a bakery case , pies $14.99... More

We stopped here by accident on our way to a vacation destination. I had the pan fried chicken. It was perfect. Juicy, crispy and tasted great. The veggies were just as good. My wife had the beans. Excellent as well. We generally don't have dessert but we had to try theirs since they were fresh baked. Great call. The blueberry... More

We've been stopping at Weaver's restaurant for YEARS whenever we pass this way on Interstate 70. We desired some 'home-cooked' type food today and were hoping for some apple dumplings, but alas, they only had those on the weekends. Our lunch time meal was an excellent steak and cheese sub with just the addition of fried onions. This sub was... More

I visited Weaver's many times in the past, but had not been there for several years. Apparently they have changed management. My wife and I stopped for lunch while traveling through Hancock, Maryland. The food was fine, nothing special. Their homemade pies used to be excellent, so we bought 2 after paying for lunch. They were having trouble with their... More

This is your typical Diner-type food. Nothing out-of-this-world, but still really well-prepared favorites. The service has always been spectacular! I would recommend Weaver's to anyone in town off of the bike trail, looking for a reasonably priced meal.

Weavers is a must for a great breakfast before a ride on the trail. Only wish we could have used one of those beautiful pies.

A legend on the trail for pies, baked goods and lunches, it proved pretty ordinary on our visit. A crab vegetable soup was under seasoned with vegetables inconsistently cooked. A turkey salad sandwich was good, but accompanying onion rings were a mealy loss. Expected better overall.

My wife and I stopped here for a piece of pie and a cup of coffee. The service was prompt and friendly. The coffee was hot and tasted good. Unfortunately, the pies were not up to our standards. My step mother always stopped here on her trips to western Maryland. It was almost a religion to her. Drive by Hancock,... More

Stopped here for lunch with 3 other C&O Canal bike patrol volunteers. My first time, but some in group hd been here before. Their lunch special of a sandwich, drink and a side plus their (seemingly) homemade iced tea made a fine lunch. Their baked goods are sinful- tried one of their chocolate chip cookies - tough to stop at... More
