Good affordable country-style food

Good food and good prices. Enjoyed my chicken-fried steak with two sides – I went with macaroni salad and sweet potato fries; there are healthier options. Finished up with a nice slice of apple pie. Good, affordable country-style restaurant.

We have stopped twice for breakfast while heading west on 70. Both times we had basic meals--eggs, bacon, home fries and toast. Also had a Belgian waffle one time. Nice portions, served hot and with a smile. Coffee was good. If you sit by the back window you have a nice view of the hiking trail and the C&O Canal.... More

Great restaurant, reasonable prices. We often drive the 30 miles to this restaurant for supper. If heading west on a trip, we almost always plan to have breakfast there. It's a local hangout, so if you want to enjoy it the most, eat in the coffee shop. If you want scenery and quiet, go to the dining room (same food/prices).

It's nothing spectacular, but it's a decent place to eat. Service was prompt and friendly. (Of course, we were the only ones there at first.) Food was kinda pricey, but you get heaping portions. Had to get a to-go box because there was no way I could eat all my meal. Also, they have PIE =D

My family and I wandered in here on the way back from DC. Truth be told, my daughter had to use a restroom, and they have a sign that says restrooms are for paying customers only. So we made ourselves paying customers. Most everything appears to be homemade. I had a reuben with a side of potato salad. Both were... More

Park N Dine is very close to both the C & O canal trail and the Western Maryland Trail. The dining room looks out over both though the former is obscured by weeds. Service was fast, friendly and efficient. The food portions were generous and fair-priced. Some people ate quickly and left but I wanted to linger and was welcome... More

We stopped for lunch on the way to Gettysburg in Hancock. When you see lots of cars in the parking lot, you usually find good food. We were not disappointed in the food and service. The place has definitely been there a few decades, but my vegetable soup was delicious, as was the Reuben sandwich. My husband's hot dog was... More

Not the stop it used to be. Dark, dingy, and outdated. Service not all that great. Food so-so. I would look for a better place to stop if I were you.

We just had the perfect lunch at P&D! Waitress was very pleasant and accommodating. Salads were fresh and grilled chicken was moist and perfectly cooked. A BLT was just the right combination of bacon and mayo. We didn't have desserts, but they looked fabulous. Love the view of the canal from our table. We stop here every time we travel... More
