This is our favorite restaurant, in our hometown, and we eat here often, as well as get "take-out". We even got take-out there for our New Year's Eve celebration dinner. Everyone that we have taken there, as guests, have returned and thanked us for letting them in on their " new favorite place to eat". Not only is the food... More

Went there for the lunch. The buffet selection was extremely limited and I couldn't visually identify what some of the selections were and I've eaten at Indian restaurants all over the world besides cooking Indian food myself. I couldn't even identify what I was eating once I had put it into my mouth. The food was bland and absent of... More

I have been here several times both weekdays and weekends for the lunch buffet. Very good, and although I've never been to India, I have had a lot of excellent Indian cuisine in several major cities all over the world. This place is legit. Not amazing, but good.

My wife and I visit Hagerstown every year to run the JFK 50 Mile Endurance Run. And every year we eat at Sitar of India...twice this year as a matter of fact. The vindaloo, curry, tikka masala etc are wonderful and are as good if not better than most Indian restaurants in major cities. The owner is a very nice... More

When we want to go somewhere with my daughter and son-in-law this is our go to place. Authentic Indian food that is amazing. Everything we've tried has been excellent. Love the curry and the josh rogan. Meals can all be adjusted for heat, just ask. Also ask owner what works best with spice or no spice and what you like.... More

Your best bet for Indian cuisine outside of driving to Frederick. Portions are fine, the selections aren't too bad, the service is really good and the ingredients look to be fresh. It's a really good bet for Indian in the Hagerstown area.

I stopped in for a quick bite and they were offering a lunch buffet. I am still new to Indian cuisine so I was skeptical of how the food would taste. I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious everything was.

I'm usually not a big fan of Indian cuisine, but this was one of the best meals I have had out in a very long time. They let you choose how spicy you want your food. I can't take much heat and their preparation was perfect. Everything we ordered was delicious. Highly recommend trying this restaurant if you are in... More

Omg! Incredible! 3 of us shared the Vegetarian appetizer plate, samosas, naan bread basket, Shahi paneer korma, and chicken tikka masala. All were so fresh and perfectly seasoned. We will definitely come back.
