Wanted to say "Excellent" but....

The crab cakes they are famous for do not disappoint. Full of lump crab meat and very little filler. Seasoned perfectly so no need for tartar or cocktail sauce. Only complaint is they charged us an additional $2.50 for sharing main entree. We ordered appetizers and beverages so I think when you are... read more

The "Acid Test" for almost every restaurant in the Baltimore area is the Crab Cake. Pappas advertises their version far and wide. They do not exaggerate; it is first quality, certainly in the top tier! It boasts excellent back-fin crab meat, very little binder, light on the spices- close to perfection. I may have had better in the Summer Kitchens... More

Met a customer who retired recently for Lunch at Pappas. Her choice and I thought I knew what she would want. She and her guy visit frequently for burgers and that's what she had her heart set on until I pointed out Crab cakes on the menu. Some folks swear by another place close by serving up a decent cake... More

A bunch of friends stopped here for drinks and food. Greeted by a friendly staff, we sat in the bar area and ordered our cold drinks and food. The bartenders were very friendly and helpful. The drinks came out right away but the food took an overwhelming time. Once the food came out " the crab cakes" were devoured! Worth... More

The waitress acted as if she was being bothered by waiting on us - this came across 3 different visits to our table, ordering time, delivery of food time, and billing. She did not stop by and check in with us - had she done this, I would have gotten the water refill I needed. She did blow past us... More

Stopping in here for our once-every-coupla-months’ lunch, we were intrigued to discover that, for two weeks, Pappas was participating in Baltimore’s Restaurant Week celebration. I didn’t pay much attention to the chalkboard about it at the hostess station, but my interest was piqued when we were given a separate menu at the table. Holy cow, for $22 and change, we... More

The crab cakes were good with lots of crab meat and the pirate juice drink was refreshing but it took a long time to get our waitress, Jess, to accomplish anything and her initial attitude on coming to the table was that she had better places to be. She warmed up as we were very nice to her but was... More

After purchasing a used car we needed a meal it was already 7:30 pm. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere with 2 big tv's to watch the O's game on. The wait staff are really nice and accommodating. The food included sandwich wraps, pasta, steaks, chicken and seafood. It was a nice selection to choose from and generous portions. I... More

Crabcake tasted mostly Maryland. Expertly cooked. Lounge type of atmosphere. NOT, my vibe but food was good and decent service. For those of you that like a busy mixed crowd lounge, you will be at home.

For a family dinner, we attended Pappas, as it is one of my mother's favorite spots. While it did take a bit longer on time to get our food, the food was a solid portion for all of us.
