Nice atmoshpere, good beer

Two families traveled here to taste the beers on draft and had dinner. Beer selection was nice. Service was very helpful and friendly. Atmosphere was welcoming. Food was good, although burgers were a bit overcooked.

Was in town for business in Bethesda. Only at 15 minute drive to get here. I am from Texas, we get Dogfish head but not all the different kinds you can get at the alehouse. I sat at the bar and got the steak sandwich which was excellent, a flight of beer, and a pint to cap it off. Highly... More

We sat in the bar area. It was very pleasant, and comfortable. Our waiter Adam, was fun, and knowledgeable about the menu, and beer; allowing us to sample a few choices. I had ribs, meaty, delicious, and tender. Loved the sauce, sweet, and spicy. My friend had a chicken sandwich, and fries which she loved. Beer was very good; we... More

So we had lunc with a party of 8 and ate upstairs in the private dining room. Service was good and the portions are huge. We had the calamari appetizer with the spicy sauce on the side, tasty but a touch salty. I had the jambalaya, Shrimp, andouille sausage, chicken, peppers, tomatoes and red onions in a spicy, cream based... More

Really always enjoy eating here! Especially love to sit upstairs! It can get noisy but it is a bar type atmosphere! Love the menu-great variety and lots of excellent beer choices!

I called and was told they didn't take reservations. I explained to the guy that we have just traveled 8 hours and were only 5 minutes out. When we got there the wait had just begun but he had kindly set aside a table for us. I'm always in search for a good burger. Delicious, juicy, and cooked to the... More

When one discovers that you can taste the latest and greatest of Dogfish Head without going to Delaware, that's a convenient treat. When the food is good too well that can be heaven. There were no less than 20 beers on tap. Many you can get in bottle, however, to taste 90 minute IPA on tap. Nothing better. And the... More

My wife and I eat here often, mostly because the beer is better than average. The food is better than average, too. Their gluten free menu gives my wife plenty of choices and the beer list has plenty of choices. I know a little about beer because I have brewed my own beer and sampled many craft brews from several... More

For anyone wanting to try some of the amazing beer offerings from Dogfish Head, this is the destination for you. We've eaten here over the years as a couple, as a member of a small group, as a large group, and as a huge holiday gathering, so we've experienced everything here that they have to offer. Like hops, more hops,... More

They are very friendly at the bar, willing to suggest a good combo for your fare and engage in conversation from time to time.
