I was in the area on business, got in around 9 pm and wandered around looking to a place to eat. I stumbled upon Joe's and decided to give it a try. Very quite at that time of night mid week, The server was attentive and provided advice on what to try. Went with the shrimp boil as an app,... More

I was disappointed with Joe's Crab Shack. The restaurant was crowded, but not packed, but the service was slow, and that is being kind. The food was average and it is an average price for the fare. I would look elsewhere for a good meal, as this is an average establishment.

I have been there 3 times in the past because wifey loves seafood. Joe's has great seafood platters and the cost is very reasonable. the throwback to the sixties atmosphere is a turn-off to me. Peace signs, tie-died t-shirts are history and should stay that way, (personal opinion). I am certain that if it wasn't for the atmosphere i would... More

Service was very good- to excellent.... Very nice folks. Deep fried crab legs not so good. I think that deep frying the crab legs made the delicate leg meat stick like glue to the shell. But the corn on the cob and the boiled potatoes were very good.

I didn't eat because the place looked dirty and the smell was appalling. I sat outside for fresh air and enjoyed a superb cocktail called a shark attack. Friends had other, similarly tasty cocktails which were impressively presented. I can only recommend this venue for drinks alone.

Upon arriving to the hotel our first choice was Joe's. Seating outside was perfect. Band stand steps away for FREE entertainment every Friday and Saturday night. Jazz, Blues, Top 40 music. Meals sensational. Had to walk it off......all the way to TARGET and Kohl's....for a retail workout!

Unless you're eating crabs I would avoid this place. It's not terrible it's just not very good. The building also stinks (of Crabs) which is fine if you like them but personally I don't! If you do end up here then try the cocktails they are fun and once you are drunk you wont care about the food anyway!

My family and I waited for about an hour before noticing that people who came after us were being seated before us. After confronting the hostess she apologized and said she "thought we left" despite us sitting down indoors within her line of sight. We sat down and were once again "forgotten" until another areas waitress noticed us not being... More

Accommodating is an understatement as we had 21 for dinner with our group, but they took excellent care of us in all regards. The food was quite good. Most of the items had a nice spice to it. Nothing was over salty or over cooked as you can get with some places.
