Big portions, huge meatballs, but the food is mediocre. Good for a big gathering and family style dinner. Nothing special.

Went to the Buca di Beppo in the Kentlands for a birthday dinner, party of 4. Things started out pretty much on the right foot, after a short wait the server visited and took our drink order. Was a while before we saw our drinks and ordered our food. There was a long wait on one of the family-style entrees... More

Good food- fun decor to look at altho it is ALOT! no blank wall space. Some pictures are rather amusing- like the nuns in bumper cars! Family pix, Italian stars, etc. Generous portions served family style. Small is for 2/ Large for 4. So my husband got spaghetti with meat sauce and I got chicken parm- we shared and had... More

Family-style Italian dining is a great idea, but the menu is a tired mix of 1950s/ 60s NJ schlock. The décor and ambiance seems to be a tongue-in-cheek attempt to recall the tasteless neighborhood Italian joints some of us over 50 recall fondly. But it felt more like a creepy/nauseating Sicilian funeral home. The forced-march through the kitchen on the... More

Overall this was a great find (thanks to Tripadvisor) but the decor is too much and most of the tables are without any form of natural light. The ventilation seemed to die through the evening and we ended up being over heated. The food, portions and quality was all great and even the "small" portions were enormous and we were... More

The food is always good. Salads are the best. The derive is great and they do take a good care of you. Kitchen table is recommended. Their GM, I think his name is Farhad or Farwad is just fantastic. All staffs are just outstanding.

Several friends and I visited the Kentlands Buca's in March 2014. We sat at the "passion table" which is a half-moon booth. Seating was very conducive for conversation among the whole group. There were 6 of us adults - and we fit comfortably at the table once we moved our coats and purses out of the way. (The host helped... More

I needed a place that took online reservations for a sudden group of twenty. My son suggested that Buca Di Beppo, in the Kentlands of Gaithersburg, MD, would be a good place. While still in NC, I accessed their interactive website, booked my group, and received a confirmation they could handle us. Once there, they had a table for twenty... More

We really enjoyed our recent visit and the food was really good. Everything is served family style and the portions are huge. The menu was very comprehensive and it was difficult to make a decision. The salad was very fresh and the baked ziti was the best we've ever had. The food seemed to be much more authentically Italian than... More

We brought a group of about 25 from work to celebrate a milestone and it was great fun. The food (from calamari to pizza) was uniformly fine, the service was attentive and excellent and our group thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
